Belarus

Two games remain in Ireland's ill-fated European qualification. The Irish fell last week somewhat convincingly to Macedonia, despite 27 points and 18 rebounds from Robert Fallon.

"I felt like I got whatever I wanted on offense," said Fallon. "But they hit some three-pointers and had a pretty friendly whistle. I think our defense needs to improve."

Belarus is next up, and despite being not officially eliminated this match will most likely be only for national pride. Ireland may well also some of the younger players a run out.

"Coach says some of the secondary players might be more involved this week," said Corey Shannon. "I know myself and some of the other lads have been working hard the past few weeks and it's good to hear that people have noticed."
