Ireland fall to Norway 114-102

Elvin Leggit had 29 points, Robert Fallon had 24 points, and Barry Ó Daire had 11 assists in a losing effort as the Scandinavians first quarter surge proved to be the difference.

"We felt this was a winnable game, and we thought we had a good game plan but we got off to a disappointing start and unfortunately it was probably done and dusted at that point," said Anto Farrelly.

It was a balanced performance from Norway, with seven players in double figures.

"It was always going to be difficult to qualify," said the veteran Leggit. "After this result it's tough to see where we're going to pick up wins."

Ireland return home to face Spain, who themselves just finished off an impressive 21-point victory over Macedonia.
