Media Release

After one of the most successful seasons to ever have graced the Irish U21s, it is time to say goodbye to the hero’s that struck the barrelled drums of Irish hearts. The romance bigs of Colin Murray and Lawrence O’Driscoll will move on and have dreams of reaching the Irish National Team. Both have left their mark on the Irish record books, Colin finishes 4th in rebounds with 255 and Lawrence 9th with 215. To have two players breaking the record books at the same time is truly marvelous and a sign of how successful this Irish team. The 4th greatest scorer in Irish U21 history is also leaving, the brilliant Jason O’Toole will graduate to the senior level and has big dreams to become a National Team Icon also. Other very notable figures to move on are Alex Moore, Dylan Kelleher, Stephen Binchy and Dara Conaghan the starting point god who finishes his Irish U21 career in 9th with assists. A fan bus provided by Bus Eireann is to tour Togher city has been arranged by the Togher Toughguys President Micheal E.T Higgins to curry favour with the player’s mothers for some freshly made brownbread and scones. The parade will begin Tuesday the 29th at 11:00 pm and will end on the next Green Moon.

The Irish U21s finished this year with a 11-3 record and qualified for the knockout tournament. They lost heavily to a fantastic Slovenia team who were eventual finalists. On this run they beat many teams who we’re more fancied than them, including Columbia (33rd) and Latvia (46th). The Irish now sit in 53rd sport in Worl d Rankings which maybe higher if there were more competitive games for them, however it’s a massive improvement which the Irish faithful will absolutely adore.

The next phase is more important than previous, although next years team doesn’t appear to be as strong as this year – progression and improvement and activity can’t be halted. The speculation surrounding the maser mind head coach of his return has been debated on many prime-time segments and Vincent Brown has dedicated his life work to solving the mystery however the coach has forever refused to respond unless using his sock puppets. Many have interpreted the sock puppets to say he run again, however the real way to find out is to go and vote. Make sure to water your flowers.

Here are the players contact cards for those horny coaches:
