Season 52 - Update 3.0 Tentative Squad Selected for Next Season + Training Guidelines

Training of the players is always ultimately down to each coach, however here are general guidelines:

Always train a player in training position between 48 - 90 mins a week.
Better the coach, better the training will be.
If possible improve training facilities.
Elastic Effect is the best way to train, this essentially means the lower skills will train faster to match higher skills. 2 methods are:
1) To push out skills that train easily first and then train harder skills to catch up
2) Train one of the harder skills out first which are easier to train younger (such as Outside defense) and then train other skills after. I have seen both types of training in this Irish Teams and both work well.

This is a great link to assist with training (https://buzzerbeater.wgz.cz/rubriky/training-affect)

A general training plan
Guards
Train One vs One as forwards to increase Jump Shot, Driving, Handling and Inside Shot until reaching 14-16 skill.
Train Pressure as PG 48+ until it reaches 14-16
Passing a PG
JR as a SG

Posts
Inside Defense as a Center until reaches 15 or 16
One v One as SF/PF Center to match Inside Shot with Inside Defense
Rebounding to reach same skill set.

Media Release - Winds a Changing

The Irish U21 Coach announced his changes for preparation of the new season on Sunday evening after some lovely pancakes. 6 players have retired to the age limit set upon the Irish U21 players. The Irish faithful would like to thank the following players for their service to the Green.

Robbie Costello (48337719)
Herschel Gallagher(48337702)
Clifford Curran (48029633)
Dean Coyne (48029608)
Alan Martin(48421401)
Francis Lehan(48029751)

The players were provided their Irish Caps and a year supply of Beamish by Michael ET Higgins at the Cliffs of Moher Saturday night. There was much confusion for Clifford Curran who was unable to comprehend the venue location.

3 of the 6 retirees were starters throughout the year and have achieved many accolades. Clifford was 2nd in points, 3rd in rebounds. Alan was 3rd in scoring and 2nd in rebounds and Dean was far in fair in front with assists. They will be sorely missed going forward.

The newly chosen squad is weak, however there is a lot of younger players with great potential and a couple of bright spots(as always). Of that selected 8 will be 20 next year and 10 will 21. The Irish Head coach has gathered a pool of 48 players in total, with 18 already on the squad. Many more challenges lay head of the Irish Team due to lack of activity on these players, however the Head Coach is trying his hardest by setting up an online community via discord and constant communication to coaches who have potential Irish Players.

As always, the Irish Team discord is open to anyone looking for some training advice. It's free and simple to sign up to. https://discord.gg/fTSKtf3bXG
