Well... I guess the first season of my tenure as Welsh U21 coach is over - and I gotta tell you: I've had a blast. Looking forward to Year Two.
So, last game: we took on a substantially stronger opponent - experimented, got the experiment wrong - and paid the penalty. India 134 def Cymru 1-7.
Fortunately it was only a scrimmage, so "so what?". I learnt a bit from it, we move forward. Still some solid performances, very pleased with Marshall, Ball & Hanson.
'K: looking ahead. Consolation tournament kicks off with a game against Ecuador (#52), then Russia (#13). The first game should be interesting...
