Friars Franchise Renamed: Mojave Dust Devils

Mojave, CA--After relegation to D.IV, ownership rebranded and moved their Utopia franchise to the Mojave Desert where they will be known as the Mojave Dust Devils. The move has been a few seasons in the works and the franchise was initially rumored to be headed to Monaco. That deal fell through when city officials in Monaco demanded cost sharing revenue far in excess of what ownership thought was reasonable. In a move unprecedented in modern times, the Dust Devils footed the entire bill for the new Dust Devils Den arena, and retain full control over the team's revenue stream, asking only rabid support from their new fan base in exchange for quality professional basketball.
