In an exciting best of 3-game series, the Kings defeated the Tigers 2-1 to claim the Big Cat League Championship for Season 69. Hunter, recently signed up by the Australian U21 National Team, was named Finals MVP averaging 21.3ppg and 14.3rpg over the 3 games. Needing to win at home to secure the championship, Hunter led all Kings with a 26-point, 15-rebound performance with 8 offensive rebounds. The Tigers fought tooth and anil right to the end on the back of League MVP Donoghue's 19ppg, 6.3rpg and 4.3apg averages.
