🏀 NBBA SEASON 73 — SMACK PRESSER
“The Salary Formula Has Shifted. The League Has Changed.”

The BB Federation’s revised salary formula detonated across the NBBA landscape this week, reshaping competitive windows, destabilizing long‑standing roster structures, and forcing every franchise to confront a new economic reality. Multi‑skill wings, true SFs, and interior‑defensive builds saw unprecedented salary spikes, while scoring guards, once considered the most valued archetype in the sport, now face steep cap‑hold requirements that force teams to choose between perimeter or interior scoring lanes. The result is a league where “meta‑built teams” — those constructed around JS/IS/SB versatility — absorbed the harshest financial impact, with several rosters crossing the once‑unthinkable one‑million‑per‑week threshold.

But not everyone suffered. Some franchises emerged as quiet winners of the salary quake.
Below is the early Season 73 economic scoreboard.

🟢 WINNERS
⚡Electric Triangles — Their long‑running day‑trading strategy finally paid off. By offloading salary before the formula shift, they enter Season 73 with flexibility, liquidity, and a clean slate in a league suddenly drowning in payroll.

🍁Knights of Autumn — Newly promoted and well‑bankrolled (❓), Autumn arrives without legacy salary anchors. They can build fresh under the new rules, targeting undervalued scorers and avoiding the ID/SB traps that crippled older NBBA cores.

🦣 Neanderthals — Their quirky, non‑meta roster construction accidentally dodged every salary bomb. No overloaded SFs, no SB‑heavy wings, no ID‑stacked hybrids. They enter Season 73 stable while others scramble.

💥Game Strategy Innovators — The new formula rewards creativity. Expect more experimental lineups, single‑lane scorers (JS‑only or IS‑only), spacing‑heavy offenses, and unconventional defensive schemes.

🔴 LOSERS
🧠 Meta‑Built Teams— Any franchise constructed around SBers, scorers and versatility saw massive salary inflation. True SFs collapsed, interior defenders spiked, and multi‑skill wings became financial liabilities overnight.

🐬Splash Gang — The hardest hit. Kozin, Guohao, Anderson, Sohn, and Ament all absorbed severe raises, pushing the roster to an unprecedented 1.2M weekly payroll.

⚗️Cassville Yuck — Their spending spree on two former NT stars (Campara and Dusart) came before the formula change. Now those contracts balloon, leaving Cassville exposed and overcommitted.

🛑 Forward Market — Their pursuit of versatile forward vanished overnight. A key roster move became financially unviable in a single revision for any teams looking for forward depth

📉 TRANSFER MARKET — “THE STOCKS HAVE CRASHED”
The salary quake triggered a market correction unlike anything in NBBA history.
High‑value players became non‑valued.
Overpriced wings became unsellable.
Shot‑blocking veterans became gold.
Young SBers became poison.
And every franchise now faces a new reality:

Season 73 will be won not just on the court — but in the budget room.

Welcome to Season 73!

SIREN: League sources confirm Adrian Diaz has been traded from Stark Contrast, landing with the Philly Cheesesteaks for draft compensation and cash considerations.

Swift move. Paperwork finalized. Talks are involving finishes touches.

Philly secures the American scoring guard they targeted last season.

Follow‑up: Kings Knights were deep in discussions to pair Diaz with Gaylord Short, but Philly’s offer arrived fast and clean, learning their lesson and slamming the door shut before the Knights counter-offer

Sources say the Knights will pivot to alternative star options.

Expect adjustments.

Further update: Stark Contrast exits the deal with fresh draft ammunition and financial flexibility. Team is already targeting a prominent U.S. guard as they reshape their backcourt with Shaw under the new salary‑cap realities.

More movement to come.

SIREN: League sources confirm 34‑year‑old NT wing Roscoe Anderson is officially available for trade.
Splash Gang has begun fielding offers and intends to have a deal closed by Sunday.

This is a major organizational pivot for the defending champions.

Follow‑up: The Federation’s revised salary formula has forced Splash Gang’s hand.
Anderson’s salary spike, combined with Kozin, Ament, Guohao, and Sohn all ballooning, has pushed the roster into a 1.2M/week payroll — Team is maneuvering aggressively to stabilize finances before their title defense begins.

Sources say they want younger, cheaper perimeter support and role‑specific wings to fit the new economic landscape.

Anderson’s market is expected to heat up quickly.

🚨 AARON SIREN — 4:15 AM 🚨

SIREN: League sources confirm the Mountain Eagles have acquired Tre Holland, a 20‑year‑old shot‑blocking trainee the team is calling their “Oullette succession plan.”

Deal is locked in.
Front office woke half the league with this one.

🚨 AARON SIREN — 4:21 AM 🚨
Aaron Ryder

Follow‑up: Holland is raw but budding, a developing interior defender with enough structural shot‑blocking ability to hold his own against NBBA interior scorers today.

He needs work on other facets of his game, but the Eagles believe his SB foundation is strong — and crucially, still affordable under the new “market‑rate” salary environment.

🚨 AARON SIREN — 4:30 AM 🚨
Aaron Ryder

Further update: Eagles brass views Holland as the perfect mantle‑carrier for Oullette.
They’re confident in their ability to develop him into the next great defensive anchor of the franchise.

One exec put it bluntly:

“They found their future.
Tre is the next wall. And it helps them afford Lince & co. for the time being”

More early‑morning movement possible.
