Maybe, but no one has ever concretely said that to me before.
The only things I've heard from reliable sources as affecting fouling are

1) Physicality hidden attribute
2) Defensive inadequacy
3) Stamina
4) Having fouls (more fouls = reluctant to foul again)

and opposition tactic (LI draws more fouls) but I can't control that.

#1 is true obviously. But idk about the rest. It's tough to prove / control for.

#2 Guess if a player's defense is low, he might get targeted more. But thought someone used statistical evidence to prove it doesn't affect fouling? (not 100% sure on that). As far as players i've had go, it's had seemingly zero effect on actual fouling.

#3 No idea. (Perhaps if a player was really fatigued he wouldn't even contest the shot, lol.) But as certain player's stamina went up (& minutes down) they actually fouled more. not that there is a cause & effect...

#4 I know I read that, & it was presented as the *official* word... not speculation.
(player in foul trouble is less effective defensively, but will back off to avoid fouls).
And that's why fouling has really bothered me. While they may be less effective defensively, if anything they are *more* likely to foul. At least my team. In fact, when in foul trouble is when they foul the most/quickest. It's like the foul "switch" was flipped & the "auto-foul-out" is initiated.

Well I ruined our conference's undefeated thing, I'm out of the cup. Not only did I get Crunch Timed, Bland got injured in the 1st minute of the game, which is half of my offense. Then my backup C gets hurt shortly after, my starting PF gets injured in the 3rd quarter, so basically I had my backup PF and some 3k scrub playing C and I got torched in the 4th quarter.

I went down to Fosse. Now 0-2 against him with one more at my place. Starting to think that the 1-11 record is TOTALLY misleading :)

Wow, that's some horrible luck there. You actually would have been able to withstand losing Bland & the CT too, without the rest of it...
The only thing worse would have been if they stayed injured after the game.

They are better than their record. Also might just be a really bad matchup for your team. Like Memphis & San Antonio in the NBA playoffs last season. Didn't Memphis actually tank games late in the season so they'd face the #1 seed Spurs in the first round?

Bad matchups definitely exist in BB too.

Until this week, I was 0-5 in league games and 0-4 in scrims vs. Hunter. Sure, he was home team for 6 of those 9 games (including 4 of the 5 league games grrr), but I've had a good team for practically my entire time in this league and despite similar ratings he would just DOMINATE me on the scoreboard.

I was really surprised when he punted on Tuesday.

Wow, just realized that in all my seasons of BB I've never had a single player on the winning side of an all-star game!! Not 1! Though a lot of those losses were entirely my doing. An excuse to repost this: (http://www.buzzerbeater.com/match/1010000018/boxscore.asp...) check out my Great 8 starting center!

As for this season's game -- Great 8 shooting guards not looking so great. Big 8 Shooting guards combined DMI: 2083600 vs. 387600 for the Great 8... a difference of 1696000! over $100k difference in salaries for the SGs too. Also the Big 8 has the most popular players in general. 7 got over 50,000 votes, vs. just 2 for the Great 8. (Or that could simply mean there was less parity among certain positions.)

What you might be interested in: You have the starting PG by a landslide (2nd most votes overall). & Once again I'm again represented in the 3pt contest, thanks to training outside shooting for team!

Yep!! Those are the important things, thanks. Weird how you're in the 3pt contest? Don't you play almost all inside offenses?

Also surprised Havens won by a landslide at PG. His counting stats are decent but his percentages are pretty awful -- and he's got most of his minutes at SF, which is generally less competitive. Hmph.
