I put up a respectable showing against Funky Town Fire (NBBA) but it wasn't good enough

Nice try!
Pretty impressive outplaying an NBBA team most of the game w/ equal effort. Especially since your new PG was in not so great GS & they had their 3 $100k guys out there. That 2nd quarter just put you behind the 8-ball. Even so you still cut the lead to 3pts with 19 secs left...

You'll be one of the most dangerous road teams in playoff history if you keep the team together. If this was real basketball I'd have my team do whatever it takes to avoid you in the first round. Like were I in 1st & you in 4th... I'd rather drop down to 2nd & take my chances there.

Yes I'm developing a bit of a pattern as being a nightmare road playoff draw.
Amazingly, this team is far more financially solvent than my previous setup. I have a little more juggling to do but I think I might be keeping it this way for awhile.

My coach is developing a pattern of being an idiot.
Not even halfway through the 3rd quarter, my centers have played close to 10 minutes at PG... why?? Even on a dead ball he switches the backup C at PG for the starting C. Real nice... (Also love the 30 combined fouls so far)

I managed to commit 23 fouls while holding my opponent to 55 points. And this is after I sold off most of my physical players and looked for guys that don't foul... I don't get it!

Most fouls committed this season:

Lethargy: 194
Fosse: 190
Visionaries: 188
Contortionists: 187
Illusion: 184

Could it be related to effort (or effort disparity)?

Maybe, but no one has ever concretely said that to me before.
The only things I've heard from reliable sources as affecting fouling are

1) Physicality hidden attribute
2) Defensive inadequacy
3) Stamina
4) Having fouls (more fouls = reluctant to foul again)

and opposition tactic (LI draws more fouls) but I can't control that.

I matched you with 23 fouls myself last game. Gonna need more than that to retake the lead from me, lol.

Here's an "I don't get it" -- I have a guy that averaged 0.8 fouls / 34 min the season before i got him. He now averages 3.1 fouls / 24 min!

& of course there's also Garabalde, who I wrote about in the past & put up his relevant stats. He's now fouled out in 4 of 9 league games, & had 5 in another... His last full season before signing him was 2.6 fouls/game vs. high level talent. (clicking on random games see $50-$75k opposing PFs)

#1 is true obviously. But idk about the rest. It's tough to prove / control for.

#2 Guess if a player's defense is low, he might get targeted more. But thought someone used statistical evidence to prove it doesn't affect fouling? (not 100% sure on that). As far as players i've had go, it's had seemingly zero effect on actual fouling.

#3 No idea. (Perhaps if a player was really fatigued he wouldn't even contest the shot, lol.) But as certain player's stamina went up (& minutes down) they actually fouled more. not that there is a cause & effect...

#4 I know I read that, & it was presented as the *official* word... not speculation.
(player in foul trouble is less effective defensively, but will back off to avoid fouls).
And that's why fouling has really bothered me. While they may be less effective defensively, if anything they are *more* likely to foul. At least my team. In fact, when in foul trouble is when they foul the most/quickest. It's like the foul "switch" was flipped & the "auto-foul-out" is initiated.

Well I ruined our conference's undefeated thing, I'm out of the cup. Not only did I get Crunch Timed, Bland got injured in the 1st minute of the game, which is half of my offense. Then my backup C gets hurt shortly after, my starting PF gets injured in the 3rd quarter, so basically I had my backup PF and some 3k scrub playing C and I got torched in the 4th quarter.
