NBBA Season 70 – Day 14 Recap (Saturday, December 6, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

After All-Star Week Rest, the League Returns Refreshed — ETBU Surge, Starks Recover, and Lords & 87ers Claim the Night’s Only Road Wins
With All-Star Week giving teams a chance to rest, reset, and heal, Day 14 marked the official return to real basketball — and it showed immediately.
Rhythms were sharper, defenses were tighter, and several squads came out firing after a week of recovery.

Only two teams managed to break through with hard-earned road victories: the Los Angeles Lords and the Delaware 87ers. Everyone else protected home court, reinforcing how rare away wins remain in Season 70.

ETBU Tigers Unload on Visionaries Behind New Backcourt Engine
ETBU delivered their most complete performance of the season with a 111–86 win over the Visionaries.
New Nigerian NT point guard Robert Diallo (12 assists) orchestrated the attack perfectly, while R. Celanova’s 23-6-12 triple-threat line highlighted the Tigers’ improved balance.
All-Star Week clearly benefited ETBU — this was their most cohesive game yet.

Lords Claim One of the Night’s Only Road Wins
The Los Angeles Lords secured a strong 106–89 road victory over Wobbles, powered by Nicomedes’ 29 points and steady perimeter play.
Even after selling star SF Antonio Fornos to EBW for $1.47M, the Lords showed they remain one of the NBBA’s top road-capable teams.

Splash Gang Cruise as Norbert Ament Drops 33 in His USA NT Return Night
Fresh off being called up to the USA National Team for the second time, Norbert Ament exploded for 33 points as Splash Gang crushed the Jumpstop Jumpers 94–45.
All three Plasma guards now represent Team USA — raising questions across the league: coincidence… or a dash of NT-selection nepotism?

Jumpstop, already without Dano Cho (facial cut, 12–24 days), had no answer.

EBW Strengthen Big 8 Lead After Acquiring Antonio Fornos
EBW defeated the Silverbacks 83–66 at home with another strong defensive showing.
The acquisition of Antonio Fornos gives EBW an American traditional SF who fits their physical, methodical style.
Big 8 momentum remains firmly on their side.

10inch Vertical Clamp Down on Mill City With Interior Control
Vertical handled Mill City 95–74 by dominating the paint and outmuscling Thunder’s frontcourt.
Mill City showed flashes, especially from Quiroz, but their rhythm never recovered after the All-Star break.

Stark Contrast Smash TarTeam Behind Sheytanov’s 33
Starks, who made the confusing choice to rest players during the one-game All-Star Week schedule, returned to full strength and annihilated TarTeam 104–51.
Sheytanov’s 33, combined with 14 team blocks, showcased the elite ceiling people expect from the defending finalists.

87ers Score the Other Road Win, Outlast Knights in High-Scoring Duel
Delaware claimed the night’s other road victory with a 115–105 win over the short-handed Kings Knights.
Randle (30 pts) led the charge, while Short continued to shine as an undersized center in the Knights’ small-ball setup.
The 87ers’ physicality late in the game closed the door.

LA Lions Dominate Cavaliers at Home
The Lions returned from the break energized, hammering the Cavaliers 101–81.
Buonfini (Rating 22.0) led the offensive burst as the Cavs struggled without their usual rebounding edge.

Final Word
All-Star Week gave teams new life — and it showed. ETBU looked transformed, Starks returned to form, Splash Gang flexed their NT-powered backcourt, and EBW made the biggest roster splash by acquiring Antonio Fornos. But the headline remains simple: only two squads — Delaware and the Los Angeles Lords — were tough enough to win on the road, a rarity in NBBA.
