Actually, I think it is correct!

Can anyone fault my thinking here please:

So, I am +6 on Wagner's 2:30pm = 8:30pm (my time).
T-Lit is -7 on Wagner's 2:30pm = 7:30am (T-Lit's time)

So, T-Lit's -7 plus my +6 = 13 hours difference. Therefore, 13 hours difference between T-Lit's time and my time.
He issues it at 7:30am, and then if we add 13 hours, this equals 8:30pm (my time) :-)

Mind you, it doesn't explain why it showed up as 7:30pm for me. :/

Yes, the first part is correct, 13 hours.
The latter, as you mentioned, not so much.
I wonder if it's a thing with Daylight Savings Time, as T-lit mentioned. For me for instance official BB league matches show up as starting 15.30, 3.30PM now for a while, before we again start utilizing DST in Finland, and then for the half year or so show to be starting at 4.30PM.
However, it doesn't explain why Gccsteel's challenge shows being played at 8.30PM, and T-Lits' at 7.30PM. Any theories/solutions? Others might be affected too.

Only explanation of some sort I might come up with, is that if BB has some kind of automatic, IP based location finder in use, and it sees that one is not in his typical "home location", and changes match times to reflect that. It's a far fetched theory, but only I could come up with right now (that even might explain differences between T-Lit and Gccsteel, if either of them is not currently located at time zone GMT/UTC-5).

I have also sent all my PU invites except for Round 15...

...as T-Lit discovered, it doesn't let us do it that far ahead. It seems that the Round 15 games can be sent sometime next weel.

Same goes for me, all challenges have now been sent (that I'm responsible of) for the regular season, except for the last round, Round 15. This is surely the only downside of being well ahead of time in this match organizing process - and if this is the worst consequence we'll face, I guess we'll live. ;)

I think there is one more thing that we should all check too when inviting and accepting PU games:

This is more for every manager who has to 'invite' teams rather than when 'accepting' the invites.

It occurred to me just now that I sent out 12 or so invites last night and, it is possible, that one of those managers sees the invite and perhaps not recognising my name or my team, or just forgetting, 'rejects' the invitation. Furthermore, if this were to happen (accidentally or deliberately) then unless we double-check every game, we could miss it, so...

My suggestion is that after you have each invited all the teams you need to invite as per the instructions (Eg. I have to invite 12 teams as a 'volunteer'), you should later confirm that each and every one of those invitations you sent out were actually 'accepted' and didn't somehow get missed/rejected etc. If not, it could be a game that gets missed which would alter a complete round and all the final standings.

I guess the better suggestion is that just before the season begins, go through and make sure you can see all 15 games in your schedule at the right times and against the right teams.

Very important advice. I tried to write all these things mentioned by you also into the informative post (released yesterday as an announcement of official HGL threads, and updated that previously "draft" post also into this thread).

It reads at the end, at chapters '5.' and '6.', like you all can see: (326590.3). If there is a clear mistake in wording, let me know. I of course meant team season schedule page..

It is fine (but not even absolutely necessary) that managers confirm that they have sent all the challenges, and that's only first, and far less important step to confirm that.

What everyone needs to do, is keep on checking out their actual team schedule (where they see all regular BB matches of the season) login after login, as long as they can see all matches for the whole Season 1 of HGL being organized properly. This is what everyone needs to confirm on HGL threads.

As mentioned in the above guide, this will not happen instantly (as they are not bot teams), but only happens when another manager logs in and accepts your challenge.

The next "explanation" I could come up with, is the only difference I found, MrJ.
You challenged HCH, (you are for practical/necessary purposes a home team, but on neutral court), and time shows up in your shedule being 20.30, so 8.30PM.

T-Lit challenged you, (you are for practical/necessary purposes an away team, but on neutral court), and time shows up in your schedule being 19.30, so 7.30PM. (If it shows up as 7.30PM and not 7.30AM??).

I'm not sure at all why this should explain anything, but again given that T-Lit and Gccsteel actually have told us to reside at that ET time zone (GMT-5), that's the only difference that I have found (who is the challenger team). So that's another, even theoretically half-possible explanation. But still waiting for better explanations from all you, if you can come up with more reasonable explanation, that actually makes sense.

I am sure daylight savings has some issues with it... US time is wacky.

Its fine, as long as we are close, there shouldnt be an issue. Lets not change things now. :-)

Agreed.
