There's a mistake for my team in the last recaps as my record is 7-1.

Tar Team may take offense given their 5-1 record but their 2 actual away wins are against Beware and Mos Eisley, so not super impressive. I chalk 5-1 up more to their schedule so far, but they'll have plenty of chances to prove me wrong and show they can take down the top dogs.

The away win against Visionaries, with less effort, was a bit lucky, but maybe it will move my team up in the tier list. :)

NBBA Season 69 – Day 9 Recap (Saturday, August 9, 2025)
by Buzz Beat Daily

Splash Gang and LA Lions Dominate on the Road, Imperials Light Up the Scoreboard at Home
Day 9 brought a mix of powerhouse road performances and one surprise home outburst from a team not known for chasing wins. Splash Gang and The LA Lions both delivered statement victories away from home, while Mos Eisley Imperials, in the middle of a soft-tank season, exploded for a league-best 126 points.

Splash Gang Crush Flashover Behind Monster Rebounding Night
Splash Gang overwhelmed Flashover 110–72, owning the glass with a season-high 72 rebounds and protecting the paint with 17 blocks. R. Lesickas anchored the defense with eight swats as Splash improved to 4-5, keeping pace in the Great 8 race.

LA Lions Maul Beware of Dogs
The LA Lions torched Beware of Dogs 125–65, riding P. Holtz’s MVP performance — 34 points, 5 rebounds, 4 steals, and 3 blocks. The Lions’ relentless defense forced turnovers all night and pushed them to 6–3, while Beware of Dogs’ struggles continued.

Imperials Drop 126 in Soft-Tank Surprise
Despite their soft-tanking status, Mos Eisley Imperials put on an offensive clinic at home, outgunning Resurrected Fury 126–116. W. Vaughn dominated inside with 24 points and 18 rebounds, giving fans a glimpse of what this roster can still do.

Stark Contrast Stays Perfect
Stark Contrast improved to 9–0 with an 88–68 road win over Mill City Thunder. Once again, Stark proved they can handle any venue, maintaining control wire-to-wire in one of the league’s toughest arenas.

ETBU Tigers Edge Visionaries on the Road
In a nail-biter, ETBU Tigers escaped Visionaries’ home floor with a 100–97 win, thanks to late-game execution. The victory moves ETBU to 5–4 and cements them as one of the NBBA’s few consistent road threats.

Other Results
10inch Vertical eked out a 79–74 win at TarTeam in a defensive slugfest, Kings Knights took down the Silverbacks 83–73 to avenge past matchups, and HumanFund topped Virginia Cavaliers 103–90 in a critical playoff-positioning game.

Key Takeaways:
• Splash Gang & LA Lions: Big-time road wins with dominant stat lines.
• Mos Eisley Imperials: Soft-tank status didn’t stop them from posting the highest point total of the season.
• Stark Contrast & ETBU: Continue to prove they’re dangerous anywhere.
• Kings Knights: Finally beat the Silverbacks after multiple past defeats.

Final Word:
Day 9 had a little of everything — statement road wins, rivalry revenge, and even a tanking team lighting up the scoreboard. With only a handful of squads able to win consistently away from home, every road W is looking more and more like playoff gold.
