Hi there. I'm homegrown draft only since mid-last season. First campaign trying to compete this way. Germany, Div III.16 (26306)

You are welcome in our family
You are also the only Homegrown team in Germany, so I am proud of you brother!

I've been homegrown for a few seasons now. Promoted to Finnish Div II for this season and hopefully able to somehow compete there.

Sadly, Lopo only tracks main teams, not utopian ones !

But that's indeed a great achievment to promote in Utopia league 2. Congratulations.

You're so cute, my lovely favourite GM.

Hey ho, you're just a traitor !

Nice job!

My self-trained Utopia team made the division 2 playoffs for the past 2 seasons in a row. (plus made the final 16 of the cup last season) So don't give up on this season yet!

BTW, you're probably going to make a fortune this season. I notice your arena capacity is 20000! Mine is under 7000 & I still make a profit.

I think that a homegrown team might be able to make division 1 in a big country. My homegrown USA team played respectably well in USA division 2 for the past couple of seasons, & was largely created with a level 3 trainer. (have since upgraded). Just last season I lost in double OT, equal effort, to the team that won the league & promoted to division 1. (108293307) So the gap wasn't *that* big.

Like mentioned above my Utopia team has been competitive with some really great teams. It's in decline now. And will probably demote. But even so check out this last game. (110490219)
Opposing team: $200k center, $100k PF, $85k SG.... And my best player was injured after 9 minutes! I know I used more effort, but still. it was a very declining backup center vs a $200k monster!

Thanks mate. I find it hard to believe that no other team is homegrown in my country, but who knows, might be true. Since my main guy has about 3-5 Seasons left in him as a franchise player, I know have to build up both starters and back ups for pretty much all positions, starting with Guards. Then build another star player to lead the gang. That will be a nice very very longterm challenge :D
Any tips and/or suggestions regarding main guys in homegrown teams? Do you people prefer inside or outside?

A very good SF is a very good start and base, IMHO.

Then, don't forget to improve your arena with the (I don't remember the name) which gives you free Free throw training (ok, 5k / week).
It's very important and your team will be very good at FT (80%+ this season for mine)

10 Players on my team, all from my draft. (working hard)

Can I be considered a homegrown team?

Howl to the Moon, you won't regret it.
