I'm guessing it's the last of the promotion bonus wearing off? I assumed it had stages and went down after the intra and inter conference league games.

But that wouldn't explain smallfries...
Plus I won 8 games after the AS break & finished around .500, so it wasn't an *awful* season. Like, let's say it wasn't me, but a newer team just promoting here for the 1st time. Wouldn't you say that deserves more than 1 ball?

Well the fan survey was always weird. I'll type out a long anecdote from when I went 21-1 + swept the playoffs later.

Now that you've said 5x5 is a thing, I keep noticing near misses. Like tonight my PG came up 1 steal & 2 blocks short...

Maybe I'll create my own weird combo stat later. Likely involving some combination of turnovers, negative PD, missed 3s, lack of assists, and PP100 under a certain amount. And 5 guys have to accomplish it. It can be the 5x5xfiVe. (capital V is for VIRTUE, so I ain't gonna hurt you )

(There's a Hrudey waiting outside your door... (How much longer?) And Hrudey's bucking and braying and pawing at the floor. (How much longer?) And Hrudey's howling with pain and crawling up the walls (How much longer?))

I really think the fan survey sucks. Hey all you BB's out there listen up! Your Fan Survey is way too harsh. Why do you think everyone is tanking and day trading? Its the only two ways to make any money in this game. Yes, I train players and sell them but that takes FOREVER. While I'm venting lets talk about two other things that I don't like about this game STAFF prices and availability, and the Draft. First, who in the real world gets a raise every week they work? Nobody raised their hand did they? I thought so. Staff are treated like Rock Stars in this game, with their huge signing bonuses and weekly pay raises. You trim your roster so you can generate a little income while still maintaining a competitive team only to see your weekly profit slowly get eatin' away by staff salaries or totally blown away by a bad FAN SURVEY. Did I mention that I hated those? I'll be back to talk about the Draft after I take my blood pressure medication, I'm gonna need it.

Where was I ? Oh yeah, the Draft. The Draft sucks. If you really want to have a realistic basketball simulation take a look at the NBA draft. What do you see, Young talent, waiting to be developed. What do I see on a typical buzzerbeater draft? Just no-talent bums ready to be cut instantly. What fun is that? At least put enough talent in there so everyone in the 1st round could get a trainable player out of it. Then maybe the exhorbinant prices they charge you for scouting might be worth it. As it stands right now, most people don't even scout because they know the talent is so thin its not worth the price.

Gotta admit this made me laugh. Not because its wrong or right, it just did. While I do agree with the fact that the draft usually never has more than 4 trainable players that don't get instantly get cut from a roster, I feel the others are a bit of an exaggeration. Yes, I hate shopping for Staff, and yes nobody gets raises every week, but if they stayed the same salary there would really be no reason to keep buying staff once you already had one. Are you suggesting a seasonal wage increase much like trained players go through? I'm not sure how that would affect the market.

Also the fan survey does some funky things some times, no two ways around it, but to say that the only ways to make money is to tank, day trade, and train is untrue. This definitely depends on your league/what your league is doing. Is the fan survey not giving you enough money, or is has your league been spending too much for its own good?

I guess i don't mind paying the weekly staff raises as much as I detest the time consuming shopping for one and having to pay such high signing bonus money. Maybe by making more of them available it would take less time to shop for one and the competition for one would be less, driving down signing bonus prices.

The fan survey is brutal. Its always giving you less than what it should. Its too erratic, and weighted too heavily towards the last game you played rather than the entire season.

Yes my league is spending too much. Tell them to cut it out will ya?

i wish the draft pool has higher skill levels than RESPECTABLE
i mean, u gotta have someone who can come in and score a few buckets for u if he's the #1 pick
it gotta be reflective of the level you are playing at ...

it takes about 2-3 years of ACTUAL time to make a 18 yr old playing a major role on a team at this level
i would have no problem if your entire team improves that much, but it's limited to 3 players 1 position training ..... to get a effective player to that level.

I can agree with that. There is nothing about shopping for staff that I find fun.

I could, but I think they would take it better coming from Joey Gladstone

I have never understood why games like this refuse or are too lazy to implement "ebay"-style bidding. You put in how much you're willing to pay, the system auto-bids for you up to that amount. No more staying up to 4am because some east coaster on his way to work listed the only 7' HoF 18yo American on the market... no more checking the staff list every couple hours while I try to replace my guy.

Reserve prices probably wouldn't be good though.
