That Valhalla is a bad team is beyond dispute -- since going bot, they have lost every game but one by more than 100 points, and in that game Jr. Jazz did not benefit from V.'s very low GS ratings.

But the teams that have played Valhalla, including me, have missed a chance to achieve lasting greatness: setting the league's individual scoring record, which is now 80 points in a game.

We are down to two teams: Tucumcari and the Visionaries. Tucumcari has a player on the TL who i think could set the record. i could see Patient or Outside Isolation as producing great results.

For the Visionaries, helpless victims of a season gone terribly wrong, they could take out all their frustration on Valhalla. Because we know Choluj's skill set, letting him loose could produce the points, or someone else could take the honors.

for myself, my best pure scorer was injured the week we played Valhalla -- but i did consider it.

That would be a great way for Capra to end his career with the Whalers. Probably not likely to happen since I'm coming off a CT two games ago and Capra has become very foul-prone in his old age and might not make it through 48 minutes, but I'll give it a try.

last game of the regular season -- the only games seeing any consequence are the Mashers and Ron Swanson along with Rdkin at the Jazz. If Swanson loses and Rdkin wins, then Rdkin will have make the playoffs and face UK. But the Flash Mashers finally have that big fellow in the lineup, who looks to be a terror (he was getting game ratings in the mid-teens with poor GS).

ATL hosts UK, as two of the better teams in the Big 8 faceoff, but i doubt they will be giving away any secrets.

in the Great 8, will the Visionaries win by 125? how cruel is it that one of the starters for Valhalla is out -- sort of balancing the injury for Visionaries, i suppose.

otherwise, thanks to PD, the final positions are pretty much set for the playoffs and relegation.

looking ahead, i don't see anyone standing in the way of the Visionaries reaching the finals; but notice ATL has not lost since they left the Cup run and the Flash Mashers have the second highest payroll in the league. UK has HCA and a pretty good team, and they are probably favored, but Big 8 finalist is not as clear to me as it is in the Great 8.

good luck to one and all.

Didn't want to risk injury vs. Valhalla so he got off "easy". Setting the league scoring record is hard, my meh SG playing PG stole all the shots from Lincoln (who is a beast but training is at C on the easy weeks).

Still trying to swap out one big man for the playoffs but time is running out and I don't want to be awake at 4am!

Good luck everyone

it's exactly that lack of dedication that will keep you from achieving your dreams . . .

actually, Lincoln did not get the message -- he had 14 assists (and a triple-double).

i do like the way Ilmar held his man to 24 points. i think that atrocious OD is about to pop!

I haven't been around to do much so the fact that I had to skimp on my SF and failed to get a backup guard in time coupled with my failure to use TIE in two recent games has sort of crushed my hopes of a miracle playoff run

I am surprised by the lack of purchases at seasons end. I thought for sure you and Kentucky Wildcats would have tried to challenge Visionaries. I guess everyone has resigned to the fact that Visionaries will promote this season, takes some of the fun out of the playoffs. Maybe the relegation series will be competitive.

i found relegation so much more gut wrenching than playoffs -- to me, the stakes are so much higher. it is one thing if you've chosen to retool, and look forward to the demotion, quite another if it is a fight for your life -- it looks to me we have four quality teams (i lost to two of them, and all four played me tough), so i wish everyone well and don't for a moment envy your situation. good luck.

Agreed, it certainly is. Considering the #6 team is only 3 wins out of 4th in both divisions, I think there is a lot of parity in this league, excluding Visionaries of course.

Flash Mashers looking pretty good in that road playoff win, but overtime inflates the ratings and he only played 6 guys so I'm not suuuper worried

The market was pretty brutal around playoff deadline, I wanted to add a guy but there just weren't any deals close to reasonable. Not sure if other people felt the same way or just got lazy?

Same, I was planning on adding a backup guard but kept either forgetting or unable to be at the computer at the right time so I got outbid. Very frustrating, I could have had a much better SF AND a great backup SG and still have as much money as I do now if I'd been able to get on.

But yes, very impressed with my Tremendous inside scoring rating, it's the highest I've gotten. If I had a backup guard I'd feel very comfortable with my team... as it is with the lack of enthusiasm we'll have to see how things go.
