Yes, 2 NT guys do play a part in the huge merchandise, but I have been all American since D.III and always been over the league average for merch.

So it is down to 4 in the cup and all teams still alive are ranked 6 or higher. That is about as much of a loaded final bracket as you get. No non-NBBA teams for us to feed on any more. Also, I think all teams have a punchers chance since Bullish is not still alive.
What odds do you give the teams?

I have it as:
Tucumcari Whalers 2 to 1 (the favorites)
Eugene Register Guard 5 to 2
Beware of Dogs 3 to 1
Kurgans 3 to 1

Since everyone (I assume this is true) expects Bullish to run away with the league title this is the trophy that is still in significant doubt.

Tucumcari looks awesome -- as in awe-inspiring. if there aren't some holes somewhere on that squad, i think BM is going to have a tough go getting to the finals. (right now, i'd call it even or tilt to Tucumcari, if a game with BM were played on a neutral court. but at this level, HC trumps almost everything else.)

Tell that to my season 26 squad who was already telling the Trophy engravers how to spell their names!

Those odds are about how I see it too. My team might be a slight favorite like you say, but every one of the teams remaining has a very realistic chance of pulling it off. I've pretty much resigned myself to Bullish taking the league title. I'm still sort of half hoping that I can get lucky and pull off an upset in the playoffs, but Bullish will be at a major advantage with HC. I'll be lucky just to make the playoffs in this conference.

Agree 100% with BM's assessment. Ironically, I was thinking that we all have a punter chance had BM stayed in the cup. (with him focusing on both CUP and league and all). But now that he focuses solely on league, yeah, we're all playing for the silver trophy.

Also, you're being too modest on your own team. You're more at Tucumcari Whalers & Eugene Register Guard's level than you're at mine. You already defeated me once at my home court with equal enthu so that clearly put me in as an underdog the rest of the way.

after the thrashing your boys gave mine -- i was never in the game -- i respectfully remove my team from any consideration of winning the Cup tourney or, for that matter, even one playoff game.

with their current game shape, Tucumcari's team DMI is over 16 million. for those who dismiss this stat (and i can see why), a very competitive team at this level is 10 - 11 million.

What an interesting final week, especially for the Big 8.

Bullish is the only team breathing easily.

Ambitious Tucumcari has a very good shot at the Cup, but also has to worry about league play. He has the Marauders and Technical Fouls on the road to end the season -- i figure he has to win one of those games. but both the Marauders and the Fouls could be quite motivated to win, the Fouls to avoid automatic relegation, while the Marauders are in a favorable spot, as they close out the season with two home games.

Delta and Kurgans tussle tonight. Delta is at home, but close on the road against Toronto, another team that could end up anywhere between 8th and a playoff spot. although they, too, close with two home games, one of them is hosting Bullish.
Kurgans host Bullish in the final game of the season, but that may be a blessing, because i could see Bullish resting all his starters to avoid injury. Kurgans' life is complicated by the Cup -- and their decision to go after TNT may hinge on how much do they want to be sure to avoid a relegation match.

The Marauders and EDH are technically in the same boat as every team presently ranked 4 through 8: they could be in the playoffs, or they could be headed to DII, or somewhere in between. And i don't see any team throwing in their cards.

Unlike the Great 8. Oddly, both Eugene and TNT are in the Cup and sharing easy games against the league's two rebuilds, 10 inch and Njords. Because of PD, Eugene should have HCA in the playoffs, but that thumping by TNT shows that does not mean much this season. i'm expecting a Tucumcari - TNT Cup finals.

Cross Chargers did their calculations and realized they were safe for another season. Both Rocket Science and TKI are built for the playoffs, but the Yuck did a salary dump -- did he foist a turkey off on the greedy Register-Guard? is he on TL for another player? it is getting late, and without another player i don't see him getting out of relegation.

but the real drama is definitely in the Big 8 -- especially the fight to avoid last place.

good luck to one and all.

On the contrary, I don't think anyone wants to play Yuck in the relegation.
