Second NBBA MVP for Laperche but he doesn't FEEL so amazing to me somehow. 18ppg that I never notice but I guess it does make him near or on the leaderboards for all the main counting stats. Wonder how much longer he'll be on my team as so many factors conspire over and over again to give me reasons to keep him around despite feeling like the salary isn't quite worth it.

Also I would hazard a guess my 13-9 finish is one of the worst W/L ever for an MVP's team.

(I only lost to him by 2 points a few rounds earlier, and he beat Splash Gang by 8 in the finale, so that means, in some alternate reality, I hire the right PR guy for a neutral court, foul his big man out as we go into OT and then pull off the upset, sneak past Flashover so that I can lose to Splash Gang by like 35-40 points.) I'm relieved to be sticking around another season, but sad to see Mos Eisley go, we had a friendly cross-division race for best record last season. I almost bid against him for Fry when Humanfund put him up and I doubt he'll be in D2 for long. None of my picks made the Fnals so good luck to the guy from our side and that other team. I didn't get a pop on a guy I need to sell to make my salaries work next season, but at least I have a few weeks to figure it out before everyone is geared back up again.

edit: @Azariah, sorry about the injury to the trainee, but at least on the "bright" side I think they heal at the reset if it was going to be a longer one.

I was kind of debating moving him out of a training slot next season (he's pushing into the soft cap area), so you basically ended the training phase of his career

Congrats to Stark for a great season! My first stint in the NBBA has come to an end, it was fun being competitive with the top BB USA teams. Lots to take away from my run, but I'd call it a success with a Cup Gold and a solid B3 run. Res Fury will be back eff you all!

The Lions regrouped after dropping Game 1 to protect their NBBA spot, sending the Imperials back down after a soft-tanking season.

#6 Kings Knights vs #6 Flashover

Game 3: 85–102 Kings Knights
It took the Kings Knights all three games to close out a series against shorthanded, but very experienced Gforce squad and secure their NBBA status for another season. Grit-and-grind basketball prevailed once more.

It wasn’t close — the newly crowned Cup champs dominated from start to finish, keeping their NBBA spot with two staggering blowouts.

We also bid farewell to #8 seeds Resurrected Fury and #8 Beware of Dogs, who both head down after difficult rebuilding years.
