I've never had a SF with the build that my new guy has so I wanted to test it out. This just in, the 2-3 still sucks. Would've liked to see how it worked with a correct GDP guess and better GS from Rodriguez/Hristov but I doubt I'll be brave enough to give it another shot.

Looking over my teams box-score after tonight's win, a few things really impressed me:

- Efficiency
Shot 52%, (Mostly off assisted points, 33 assists)

- The dynamic duo
Bowens, (8-10), 20.5 player rating, triple double. Hunt, near triple double (10pts,10tr,7ast).

Name your price, I'll pay what ever it takes to get these two on my team. It's freakin' awesome watching them play!

**also, after tonight, Bowens is top 3 in the league in PTS/REB/AST. Just give him the MVP! ;)

- Guards dominated
Isom 33pts, Duff 27pts in 33mins (w/ average GS!).

Bowens, Hunt and Luna really broke down the 2-3 zone from inside, feeding the ball to the guards for easy uncontested layups and jump shots. Amazingly, thanks to the defensive breakdown, Duff, with just 6 GS, shot and scored like JoeBro in his prime.

Great win. Great performance. Very much needed.

Lol, i actually know that feeling. I have teetered on the verge of 2-3 a few times against teams with no back-court, but remembered the words of the immortal Stogey23 (manager of Chicago Bulls of BB): "Friends don't let friends play 2-3".

So does, Jason. He used the 2-3 zone in the finals last season. Apparently none of his friends tried to stop him from doing so. Sad story.

Keep in mind that Mystic Pizza is a romantic comedy with the works. (But of course you always keep that in mind, since it's your favorite)

I really think you should issue an even newer press release to your new league. One that finally admits your (bizarre?) love for Mystic Pizza and comes clean about how you've been covering it up for fear of judgement.

Stop living in that Mystic closet you've built. Set yourself free. You can also change your user name from "A-Dub" back to "A -romantic comedy with the works-Dub". (your original BB- user name... don't think i don't remember!)

LOL, I have had success using 2-3 zone; but other times it has blown up in my face. The frustrating thing is I can rarely see the specific reasons why it works well in one game and not another.

That said, I went into the series last season with Magiker with an Enth advantage, Crunched his Normal, and felt I had a good read on GDP. When my team didn't hold on at home to win in game 2, I went into game 3 with pretty much equal Enth, same effort, and a much less certain read on GDP...in that 3rd game my much inferior roster needed something to gives us a boost.

I felt my only hope was to exploit what I felt was already an advantage in rebounding for my team. So I figured going 2-3 zone would allow us to dominate the glass and give my team more shots than TKI. It worked...kind of. We destroyed them on the offensive glass 15-4 (although total rebounds was pretty even), and we had 12 more shots than TKI in that game.

Unfortunately it seems that we missed about all of those extra possession shots and to make matters worse TKI shot 54% for the game. Wouldn't have been my ideal choice to play 2-3 zone...but TKI was so much better than my team, pretty much across the board; so I had to do something to try to shake things up.

GS woes.
