Sarge. Really nice player. Hope a bid war ensues for him and you take down a large pile $$$

Good luck man.

I doubt it. I listed him for 1 million after I got eliminated from BBM. Had a few looks and a couple of people bookmarked him. I just relisted him for 250K higher just to be a jerk. But you never know.

Fabre listed for 500k and sold for over 1 million. That was a short, but sweet bidding war.

I think players become less valuable as their salaries rise. If you can afford him, you probably have developed someone as good or better than him already. There's always the hope that someone is desperate to win their league, but it's a steep price to pay.

It seems like the best way to make money is to develop young players and sell them at 21-22. They usually have low enough salaries that you can entice a drunk Italian 4th division manager to spend a lot. Or in this case, a Polish one.

I think Sargent might sell at a high price as we approach the playoffs, or with the influx of money of newly promoted teams early next season.

btw his salary is not too high for a top league team to carry, though the OD is a bit on the low side for a team that wants to compete at the highest level (with that said, not all top league teams want to compete at the top level: when I was in NBBA I went through periods where I would have 300-400k in my starting backcourt, and other periods when I'd try to do it all under 200k).

I had some small hope I might promote based on my record. There are 2 bots in D2, so there was the chance for a couple of extra promotion slots.

But both bots have sunk to the bottom of the table so that's off the boards

At least I won't end the season in the red

In any case, I think you would not have promoted, because only 1 team per conference can grab the auto promotion slots.

I actually think your record in the end will be sufficient to get to the auto promotion threshold, because some of the teams with higher records will win their divs. However, as a second-place team in the conference they wouldn't promote you. (So e.g. if I had had your record I would have had a strong chance of auto-promotion.)

Best of luck to Cassville Yuck in their Semi-Final BBM game. #1 vs #1 matchup. Hard to tell at this point who is better. But I would guess that Yuck will prevail.

Thanks man. I appreciate the kind words. I am running into a juggernaut though. This guy is favored to win the whole thing. His inside offense is rather unstoppable.

Good luck Saturday man. The rubber match in the series for us. Impressive win tonight. Need to formulate a game plan for you.

Pretty straightforward playoff picture, in day 1.

in the dominant conference, JCW flexes against Ashkickers behind a great shooting performance from the Sargent/Baez duo. Yuck dismisses Scrap Heap with less effort while playing a training lineup.

In the dominated conference, I was happy to see that my new acquisitions got me back to 140 total rating in Buzzer-manager. 39 assists for the team and great shooting performances from Hidalgo and Grodowski. I did fear Globo's new additions. Next season it'll be their time. I wasn't sure that Dominate had still enough after their sale, but they easily dealt with Motor City.

The most interesting game of the day was the relegation match between Two O's and IU Hoosiers. Riding home court advantage and some extra enthusiasm Two O's banks in their first win despite being GDP'd. Overton goes off for 14/18
FG. This is a very interesting and consequential series.

Good luck to Yuck on their mammoth task today. You've already done III.12 proud with your BBM run.

Yikes. That was brutal. What's scary is you had a lot of free throws and still lost by double digits.

Teams like that remind me that I'm just in it for fun. I really don't have what it requires to play at a high level. The guy has played forever, but 297 million in purchases and 300 million in sales. That's an insane amount of time to spend on the TL. I don't have that much patience.

Some of the "try hards" will log into their account once a month and just rack up millions of dollars to save an insane amount of money before they try to promote. I agree. I play this game for fun but some people take it to another level.
