So wrong, so wrong . . .

so long, so long . . .

i couldn't resist. actually, where you're going, the Cup is a distraction. get HCA and you're unbeatable.

It's been a tough week for Auram Ravinski. A cup game in the usa last night, then off to Morroco for a B3 game this morning, right back on the plane to make it to the allstar game tonight, and another cup game tomorrow night to top it off. He's really earning that big salary.

it's halftime of my exhibition game for my Utopia team. the opposing team did not bother to dress anyone out. my guys are playing five lucky fans.

the score is 84 - 10.

my team has 48 fouls.

three players have already fouled out (one in six minutes, one in nine) and a fourth player has five fouls.

he is 0 - 6 from the floor, but 10 for 80 from the FT line.

i've never seen anything like it.

Tried to look in on your game, but the viewer must be malfunctioning.

Unless you really did have 7 players on the floor at once? 2 SGs & 2 SFs. (not kidding, i can share a screenshot if you really want it). And your center already had 6 fouls. Where's Erin Dada?

he is 0 - 6 from the floor, but 10 for 80 from the FT line.

One of the fans wound up shooting 75% from the floor and under 5% from the FT line. 2 fans had multiple assists. (Which I've never seen before)

a B3 game this morning, right back on the plane to make it to the allstar game tonight

Back in my day, players like Tõnis Alas would play in 2 games at once. 44 minutes in a B3 game & 44 minutes in the NBBA all-star game simultaneously.

Wow, they don't make them like they used to I guess. Willing yourself to be in multiple places at the same time is an underappreciated and poorly understood basketball skill.

The live viewer during walkovers is great fun. I think someday someone needs to dress a walkover lineup against one of Shikago's patented "suckier than nobody" lineups and see the most atrocious basketball possible.

Hey fellas I'm still debating if i should keep tanking or just in D1. Do you actually make more money by swinging between D1 and D2? I am pretty surprised that I'm still making above 300K per week with the promotion boost, considering how poorly I'm doing right now. I'm sure if I spend all my cash now i can at least make myself qualified for relegation, and I'm confident that I can make it back to D1 within 1 season if I relegate. Thank you.

Well it's getting a little late in the season to make that decision but fortunately this year the Great 8 is pretty tight and for a team not really trying to win you've done enough to keep yourself in contention. You could try doing what I'm doing, i.e. aim for the middle and make some coin to spend down the road.

a couple of things:
1) in my experience, the competition to get out a lower division is terrific and fierce. you say you are confident you could do it, but drop back to any DII league and i would guess there are easily four teams in any league who plan on winning.
2) the attendance hit is another blow. winniing back fans is a process and takes a good bit of time.
3) you have the core of a good team, with several 27 year olds, and Eckert, who is very good. but i don't know if you have looked at the TL recently -- players are quite expensive, especially young ones. players with a future cost well over $2 million.
4) you do have plenty of room for good players to make you competitive this season. but they will all be over 30.
5) i'm not sure the Big 8 teams you may face in relegation (to make up 3 games and move past two other teams at this stage in the season is a tall order) have any doubts about wanting to stay at this level.

i should point out that merely making this level is tough, but a couple of the recent DII advancees (is that a word?) have been spectacular: Tucumcari has been in the finals every year since he advanced, Golden Horde are leading their conference and may end up with HCA for the playoffs, Delta i believe has been in the playoffs every season since he got up here, the Cacti the same --

but if you decide you want to stay and don't, then you miss the revenue and probably have older players you have to jettison for DII. good luck.
