There are only 4 spots for bot promotion to D3 and they'll all be taken by undefeated teams. Your team will not be promoting.

So it goes by record? Let's say a team from Div.2.1 has a 19-3 record but finished first in the Big 8 and he loses in the finals to the winner of the Great 8 who was 22-0. The second best team in the great 8 was 20-2.... So my question is...who would come up in a Bot sweep..The team that made the finals from the big 8 who was 19-3 or the second place team in the Great 8 who was 20-2?

Division winners get the first look, no matter what the record, so 19-3 would beat out 20-2 if he was second in his division.

Yeah as Arthur indicated it isn't entirely based on record.

I'm not sure that's accurate.
From the game manual:
To keep our community fresh and lively, the next best teams in your division will promote to fill in any Bot-controlled team spots in higher leagues. The league that a team will promote or demote to is random within the division that they are slated to go to.

That, is unclear. But I read it to be record, not winning conferences.

CrazyEye verifies this later in the thread.

You actually do have a very solid roster for a recent V promotee. You should be very competitive next season as long as you manage game shape and enthusiasm.

I'd suggest altering your arena situation though... after you promote your fans love you no matter what and will show up en masse. Ideally you'd want to build more seats but in the meantime you should charge more for tickets.

Its my first time in D.IV and I dont know what its like because in D.V I only had like 2-5 other active managers, I'm playing against managers that are on every day now, also there are like 2 teams in my conference who have like atleast 5 players over 20k when I only have one guy, Im scared my teams not good enough, I have to manage everything perfectly to have a shot at the finals.

You've gotta remember that salary doesn't equate to success. Even in DIV, a lot of those high salaried players have jacked salaries because of their JS and JR, with little in the way of OD or anything else. They're completely worthless. Find some guards that can defend and pass, you should be fine with the post players you have.

If you're really worried about the teams in your league, use the Matchup Scout on the USA offsite forum. That will tell you what kind of ratings your team will need to compete with in your league

Who says you have to promote in one season? Focus on training and arena expansion this season and avoid relegation. Your team is definitely better than most DV promotees.
