Appreciate di love.

Question, what offense and defense should I run?? Should i stick to the base and man to man or are there better options?

hey man

hope you like the game as much as we do, and as I recommend you join the USA Offsite (http://s3.zetaboards.com/BuzzerBeater_USA_NT/index/)

and then BB-Mail jfarb (28800) for you t obe admitted

also some tips to get you started

1. Build Arena

Build that arena with at least 250 of the 300k Build mostly Lower Tier and Courtside seats

2. Get trainees

Get 2-3 trainees with around the same skills and same height to train

Guards are usually 6'4'' and shorter

SF are usually between 6'5'' and 6'7''

Big Men are usually 6'8''+

3. Get vets, but not too old.

After you have your trainees and Arena set up, go to the TL and get a couple of 26-29 yr old veterans between $7,500 and $12,00 Salary to get you jump started into winning fashion

Hope these three tips help you out

tough

I would start here. Some of the details are different now but for the most part it's still valid.

(144856.1)

When you figure out whether you want to train guards or big men initially, you'll want to pick up a few trainees. Cheaply. You may also want to pick up some low-salary veterans, again, cheaply. I emphasize cheaply because much like HT, you don't want to blow your early money on players and not be able to grow.

There is no arena maintenance cost in BB, so expanding the arena is definitely an important thing to do. Ticket prices will be locked in for the middle third of the schedule sometime tomorrow. You'll definitely want to increase the lower tier to at least $40 or so. You'll also want to jack the courtside prices up way high - at least $175 and that's assuming you get some more of those built; you could probably just max price those and sell most if not all of them for now. Make sure to build some luxury boxes - the cheap route would be to build two and price those seats at $1600, or 3 at $1250.

Homegrown trainees will improve your merchandise eventually, but early on it's not a big deal. The only staff are trainer, doctor and PR - and at the moment, you don't need any more than the basic doctor and PR staff. You'll want to get a cheap level 4 or level 3 trainer with a low weekly salary at some point when you're into training more, but it's not necessary the first few weeks. Ideally you want to train players in several skills, rather than the HT philosophy of set a training and let it ride. For guards, pressure trains OD and is very useful; passing is very useful as well, and one on one trains handling, driving, and JS.

That should at least answer some of the basics for a while. Definitely that thread I linked to is worth reading several times over your first few months playing here. But if you've survived HT and made it here, you're well on your way to being successful here - you already know the value of GS Management and enthusiasm, though you might think of it as form and team spirit. ;)
