It's all about executing, having guys that can play good man defense, and having good basketball IQ.

Well, to me, I consider the MAC conference a mid-major. I define that as 1 step above the likes of say the MEAC, the OVC, the Patriot League, etc. Considering Akron however, they couldn't of gotten a worse draw. VCU plays their HAVOC defense that I think will extremely stifle and hope for Akron.

You know what would make for an interesting tourny? If all the highest seeds get knocked out in the first round LOL. Too bad it won't happen:P

ACC had a down year. Big Ten has a bunch of good teams. That's all true. But I don't think the gap between the two conferences is that big. Duke beat Ohio State, Miami beat Michigan State, Virginia beat Wisconsin. Indiana killed UNC but the Heels didn't win anything this year and were lucky to be an 8 seed. I think you write off the ACC at your own peril. Sure Miami and Duke have flaws, but so does everyone, especially this year.

In my Final Four, I have:

Louisville, Ohio State, Kansas and Indiana, though I'm not sold on Indiana, Ohio State or Louisville yet. I see Michigan State, Gonzaga, Wisconsin, Miami, UNLV or Florida making the Elite Eight.

Rather than offense and defense... It's more on the coach, 2 equally good teams but one with inferior coach is a catastrophic difference. On the other side talent-wise butler should not have made the finals to lose the other year

I have bucknell going to the Sweet 16. Also I think Davidson could shock market to make a 11 vs 14 second round matchup

I actually think Oklahoma State is going to come out on top over Oregon. Nash, Brown and Smart are just too good. They are NBA prospects and probably will be very good in the NBA. Now that I think of it they are very dangerous.

Also I am thinking that Ole Miss can beat Wisconsin. Wisconsin does not have any big time scorers and I don't trust them to be a solid tournament team. If you look at it closely, Gonzaga has a very weak region. Kansas State is overseeded, Wisconsin has no stars, I think Ohio State will have an early exit.

I am still thinking about a possible Marquette Syracuse matchup in the Elite 8 in the east. I dont really like Miami or Indiana a whole lot.

I also have Michigan in the Final Four because I like their explosive Guard play. Explosive Guard play fairs well in the Big Dance.
