I think the *can't-buy-players-from-original-country* is ridiculous. I do agree that you should not be able to purchase players from teams you own.

I agree. I know why they are doing it, but to penalize everyone for the actions of a few, is overkill.

Well, that is how the world works sadly. I'm against owning a gun, but there are some people who are fully capable to own and handle a gun, some others don't, hence a need for restrictions.

Which is an pretty inane analogy. You don't think that the end results of misusing a firearm are just a wee bit different from owning two teams and purchasing players from your original nation?

Another sim game - which has the same two team option in place - allows purchase of home-nation players (just no trading between teams), and has experienced little-to-no problems with the fears you express being realised.

If I have a second team, I'd prefer it to be like a developmental, farm system team, where I can demote and promote players -- basically, have my "A" team, then a JV team, if you will, where I can develop players with the hope of one day promoting them to the bigs.

I think it would be played in a Utopian country, with standings and such that would be secondary to my developing the best system to build up my players.

I call this reaction, "The Wolf Complex". Where everyone is assumed guilty until proven innocent.

When I started play bb, in 19th season, the players of the game was nearly 50000 and now, after 7 seasons are nearly 30000 !!! I believe that, the second team they help first of all THE GAME. Its better after 1-2 seasons everybody can have a second team...not only the supporter...

One of my favorite things about BB is the NT system. Letting foreigners into other countries will compromise systems that countries have spent years to create. The utopia country is the only way to do solve this.

personally I have no loyalty to my own NT team. When I have NT players, it is because I think they would help my team and I do my best to make sure that I keep their game shape up.

For those of us that care a good deal about our NT, we would be a bit concerned at the possibility of a foreigner sabotaging our U21/NT prospects.

People intentionally screwing up a foreign NT/U21 team via their second team will make up a very, very small percentage of *new* owners. It's nigh on ridiculous to worry about this in a country the size of the US.
