Good stuff. I'll have to hit you up for some more movie picks / commentary another time.

And now continuing the award roll-outs, I'd like to announce league MVPee. Which, in no surprise, goes to Vardis Sourpis(s) (18733826).

MVPee

Vardis Sourpis(s)

This guy has not so quietly put together a great season and it's no coincidence he is on the biggest team in the league. Between traveling to games and practicing, he has consistently been a centerpiece to the Milwaukee Lethargy. To add to it, he had been well hydrated too, averaging almost 2 Liters per game. At the end of the day it's not just stats that earn the MVPee honors, it takes efficiency as well, and Sourpis(s) has been one of the most efficient pee-ers in the league. Put everything together and there really wasn't much competition.

Which reminds me - has there ever been a less appreciated starting QB of an NCAA championship team than Chris Leak?

Definitely not rebuilding, just retooling. The piggy bank is full, and I might go for broke next season.

Yes, you know you're f***ed when halftime isn't enough time for your coach to try to figure out what to do, but instead after an opposition turnover, another full timeout is taken.

On the bright side, I'm only down 15 minutes. ;)

Got the matchups I wanted, had a 96.6 PP100 at C with Yi on the bigs, and it still came up way short. I just BB-Mailed pappy about this, but it's time for congratulations - he has the best team, and while I'm happy with the strategy I took, I'm convinced I'm not taking games 2 and 3 - so we're going to ensure there's a third game so he gets an extra bit of cash for moving expenses, and then I'm going to for the first time in my BB career intentionally throw a game. I need to retool my guard situation anyhow, so the extra cash will help me too, and hopefully I can represent the conference better next time. But the best man won tonight and if I ever have to lose a series, Pappy's my first choice to benefit from it.

That's pretty damn cool Hrudey. Class move.

Pappy congratulations. You've had this coming for a long time.

Well, the thing was I decided I was going to give it my best shot and try to make him earn it. This was the perfect scenario and he won it so convincingly that the only way I figure I'd win a game 3 is due to some bullcrap like major injuries - and he's already gotten the shaft on that front. If the only chance I have is for someone who's already been screwed to be screwed further (and given how lucky I've been with injuries since I got here), it's simply not worth it. He's earned it and I already had more than my share of luck with DP's foul out late in the first round. I'll take the extra money and one more win that I don't deserve, and hopefully put together some way to join him next season.
