Thanks for your votes, everyone who have been voting on league rules/commissioner voting, and for a league name voting as well! In both votings we have clear winners, results '1' and 'HGL', respectively.

That'll ensure our league will be known as (and official league abbreviation will be) HGL, and as you're aware, I'll be working as a league Commissioner for this HGL league.

I'll be opening those aforementioned new forum threads for the league soon, and will finalize other texts such as the ones concerning league penalties after that, also taking into account on what you guys comment (and partly already have commented) on my previously presented rule suggestion.
For instance simple approach has been on wish list of some participating managers in terms of rules/penalties applied for the league, but it's a pretty subjective term to be honest, and the more you are willing to elaborate, the better.

To refer to my earlier post (324689.336), in it I was referring to my rules proposition posts (especially posts beginning with Brief compilation of [....] asking for instance the following:

If you don't like some parts of it, let me know. But please, if you don't like it, would you let me know for instance:
A) why you don't like it,
B) what in it you don't like,
C) what penalties would you change/not use, and
D) why would you want to change some aspects of my proposition, what are the benefits of your proposition over mine?

You guys don't have to reply anything to this, if you don't find time/energy for it. I am able to create some kind of rules/penalties rule set for the league without any additional feedback.
However, replying would help me to better understand the wishes of the community, of which I already have some clue on of course. But understanding the 'why' behind opinions is often very, very beneficial.

My vote is for HGL, I truly do like BBHG, (but what if the name of the site changes and its not BB anymore) I also like IHGL too because it does spread the international welcoming of it.

So either HGL or IHGL is good for this guy! :-)

Hi !

I think Season I is better than LXVIII, because it's rather shorter.

(this is my revenge for not being approved for H²G²L :P )

Your revenge was perfectly successful, as after long consideration I've come to the decision that Season 1 it will be. ;)

Anyway, as an additional reminder to you guys, as I have to alter my request made earlier, when I create both of these new forum threads for HGL, please don't reply anything before I have replied about 10 times to my own messages (in the Scores-thread about 8 messages should be enough) (in order to ensure we get articles to the beginning of the thread that benefit in being there), thank you. :)

As for a side note/question, especially @MrJ (as it's even easier for him as it's auto created totallly), do you still have the random schedule for us 14 teams that you created back then with some website dedicated to creation of league schedules?

I already have match days in place (in calendar), but if you could send regular season schedule here in this thread (would you please add R1 or Round 1, R2, and so on) so I could then use that in my forthcoming post?

As Commissioner, Wagner, I think you should make any decisions you deem necessary (Re rules, threads, labelling etc) and we will support you. :-)

My fellow Home-Grown managers,
March 12, 2025 marks a happy day for (hopefully) many of us, as I can tell you that HGL now officially exists. :)

While still work in progress (I suppose I should take a day off from BB though as this time I spent about 13 hours working on it almost in one go xD), there is already "some" content on a new Home-Grown League (HGL) Season 1 Official Thread (326589.1) and on HGL Scores Season 1 Official Thread (326590.1)!

And more to come, but luckily we're are not in absolutely terrible rush, because I can't take another 13 hours day in a row. ;)

Hi Wagner. I just read the entirety of your new thread and I must say you have done a brilliant job, Wagner! Well-written, succinct enough and informative so that both competitors and those managers interested in HG, will be clear on what is occurring.

On behalf of those of us competing, thank you for your significant effort and time and I think you, as Commissioner, is a perfect fit.

+1

...On another exciting note, my team, the Swan River Serpents, will become 100% HG as of 5pm this Saturday!

We will be running a 7-player squad for the relegations series before picking up 3 new draftees, making it a 10-player roster for Season 68.

It is going to be a tough 1st season as a HG team and we will certainly be looking forward to adding 3 more players each season as we improve in depth and quality.

I am excited by a 5/5 draftee and hope to make him the 'center' of our core moving forward.

My new motto, and tag-line...

...Home-Grown or Go Home!

Thank you very much, MrJ!
And also thanks for all your contributions, which have been very helpful as I've mentioned many times.

I hope you all enjoy HGL as much as I will! I think we have something great on our hands in form of HGL that, if given the care and commitment it needs, has a great potential to make this HG community even more active (in forums) and more invested in their homegrown team projects in the long run, and could also work as a means/as a tool to bring other interested managers into the positively addictive world of homegrown teams!
