spare a thought for poor Pappy -- two major injuries just before the playoffs.

if it wasn't for bad luck, he wouldn't have any at all.

Thanks, Hassan. What is really screwy is that any normal team–in any normal BB game and in RL—in my position would have rested his regulars last night. But with BB's stupid—I have other words for it!—attendance scheme, my attendance would have been hammered because we lost the last game. Of course, we lost anyway so we'll see if anyone shows up for the playoffs:-)

Pappy

The injuries really suck. But attendance aside, you'd still need to get your regulars enough min for GS purposes. So it's either play them in a meaningless league game to begin the week, or wait til the slightly riskier end of week scrimmage. (unless you were willing to just take the GS hit that is?)

Anyway, I remember a few seasons ago in D2. Where in a single playoff run I had 6 separate injuries to starters plus a couple more to backups on top of it. (What's funny is that i still ended up winning the finals with my 11th & 12 guys deciding the outcome of game 3! So take hope in that I guess )

I'll catch up on the league / forums later today (was busy & missed the entire week's goings on), but have to get a follow up from you on my ongoing rebounding woes: (65823191)

Prominent vs Average rebounding... which is a massive disparity, but only resulted in a 4 rebound difference? We both shot about the same %, so...?

And then I played you next & had Prominent vs. Respectable.... but this time I win the battle of the boards by 23???

Actually, just glancing at the team ratings & such... not sure why my game vs. Ignacious Rock was so close while ours wasn't? They had lower defense, reb, & flow than you did. (Haven't really kept up with BB post game engine change FWIW)

Don't want to fill an entire page w/ replies to everyone, so will stop here for now. But I've really got to share some of this game footage my coach was studying. You'll probably find it interesting:

I didn't realize Bustemante had been around long enough for such a grand farewell. I like the way he told Clog management to F Off by walking like a rooster off stage. That is one prideful man.

Your team isn't really hurting until you get down to the 20th man, though.

It's pretty close. But to be really accurate it'd need to have about four dipshits fouling the guy first well away from the basket before then giving up an offensive board and a bucket.

Edgar Bale (27017321) resents that. So does my now pointless Jakub Ciaputa "lookalike".

I used to have an 11 man rotation in league games a while back. And probably 13+ quality players. There should really be more benefit to having competent backups, but BB treats lucky fan games the same as losing with a respectable lineup for some reason.

Sadly I got rid of most of the "quality" depth guys over the past season or 2. Since skills drops were turning them in "quantity" guys anyway. Maybe my trainees will reach legit backup status someday?

I thought this week teams that finish 5th only pay 1/2 salary? Anyone know what's going on? Thanks.
