I hear you, I'm about ready to throw in the towel as well... Will keep 2-4 players worth developing further and sell off the rest at this rate...

Yep this game is a heart breaker.

I have semi tanked for two seasons, to give a good go of it this season, and my Center worth 40% of my total salaries gets injured for the rest of the playoffs.

I still think Globo Gym would have beat me tonight, and I wouldn't get past California Crows, but would had been fun trying.

At least you have a reason for your loss...

I got whooped by SubZero33 (congratulations by the way!)... Yeah I blew up most of my team this year to do arena upgrades, but I really thought this would have been much closer given the edge I had in bigs... Clearly I overestimated the rest of my team and underestimated his lol...

Now time to do an even fuller rebuild as I probably can't maintain this level of salary in D4...

Also, I have no idea why I switched to low post after running higher paced offenses all season...

Probably the dumbest time to experiment... But those are the breaks... Have to find credit where credit is due.

It really is the cruelest part of the game. I understand it's unrealistic to not have injuries. But the timing can ruin a season.

I had one player who had 3 injuries in a 23 year career. First one came in the 3rd minute of a playoff game. Pissed me off so bad. But I guess we forget about the bad things that happen to other teams.

Anyway, it sucks when a guy that expensive gets hurt. At least you won't have to pay his salary next week.

I felt pretty bad when I saw that Hysi got hurt in the first playoff game. My lack of offense scared me so much I went out and spent way too much money on that 160k salary guard just for our matchup. Crows and I will both promote this season, so if you have the money to keep your core together I think you can go up next season for sure.

Just to clarify what Globo is saying is that the three undefeated teams took the 3 out of the 4 auto promotion spots and I got the 4th with the highest PD out of the one loss teams. Globo has the second highest PD out of the one loss teams so we're essentially both guaranteed promotion regardless of who ins our matchup.

lol Gaillimh, yes it was nice not to pay his salary.
I
t's hard to know who to go for:

Crowman92 took me to 3 OTs and than he won. Stuffed up my gameshape for weeks.

Nikebones has smacked me around all season: crunch timing the very first game of season! And then just winning our second game. And as my rival wrecked my chance of getting 5 ball fan survey.

Congratz to you both on your promotions!

At the beginning of the season, I decided to tank and rebuild the roster. I invested pretty heavily in scouting hoping to get some decent draft picks. Little did I know, other teams were tanking harder. It kind of blew the whole draft pick thing.

I ended up identifying 15 5* players. Only one had 4* potential. All the others were 1*, 2* or 3* potential.

This just reinforces what I have thought for years. Scouting is the biggest waste of money in the game. I would have been better off just banking the cash and buying guys off the TL. I just hate the whole bidding process.

In hindsight, I got pretty lucky that CT'ing the first game of the season didn't cost me an auto-promotion spot. I should have never lost to the Peacocks in game 2, but I think low enthusiasm was one of the primary reasons I lost. Your team scares me so I always play my best lineup

Also, I looked back at our matchup history, and 7/10 games we've played have been either TV/rivalry/playoffs. It's always high stakes!

Yeah I never found scouting to be overly wise from a financial perspective. When I have gone all out the draft pool sucked. But when I've dabble I sometimes get lucky, like with my current player 'Fab.' He would have made U21 last season, if one guards got injured. I was training him to Antwon's recommendations for the team, but no injuries.

A lot of this game is unfortunately luck.

Yeah Nikesbone CT'n that first game was a smart and impressive move. I thought I was going all out playing normal, and than you had the balls to CT.
