I like the idea, but maybe it would be more realistic to normalize the wages by the number of weeks in the regular season divided by the total number of weeks (salary * 22 / 25), instead of "free playoff wages".

Just a suggestion, i like the idea anyhow.

well sure that would be part of it.. except i don't know if we normalized the economy by the total revenue/expenses or whether we did it week by week. If it was the latter than not normalizing would correct for that issue.

no more official games for the people out of the playoffs, but what about the guys playing for the title without getting payed??

but anyway, for me it's fine either way.

I was afraid that's what you met..

no no, dude, nobody was talking about "free playoff wages" just for the teams out of the playoffs. It would be for everybody, otherwise makes no sense whatsoever...

The problem also becomes less prominent if we make up for the game difference with additional scrimmages, and have some (reduced) ticket income for scrimmages (split between the teams).
