I really dont fully understand what you were trying to say......but for every 1 of my losses you can try to use against me, I can can point to 10 wins to make my point......I lost on the road to Ambitious with 100k less payroll and he had a massive enthusiasm advantage because he was still in the cup having TIEd every game. No shame in losing to a great team like that under those conditions.

nono, that is not my point, my point was your outside scoring in that match showed that you don't really have much going in that regard, so a well balanced team (at your level) could use a defense for inside play and know that you pretty much still have to look inside as your outside game is lacking in comparison. If it was a bit stronger then a team would at least have to always respect your outside game.

That said all my experience is div3 and lower so I may be full of it (or at least have no idea how div2 is played, my tactics still seem to work at div3 level). Classic BB div3 telling div2 how to win, now where are the Walker Wiggles I have some tips on how to win the cup for him........

I hear you, but actually that dynamic is true for all my games.....We have beat and competed with high level teams......this telly leads to a more of a philosophical discussion on how ratings amd tactics work.......that was really more my point in my original post. Not so much about tooting my own horn, but more so that in BB balances attacks don't always work, and a well constructed "predictable" attack, can be veryes successful; even at the highest levels.

I have said it before, but that is the great thing about this game.....there are multiple ways to be successful, not just a cookie cutter approach to success.

Everyone's afraid of going outside because of 3-2 zone

Thats why I am starting to like PTB as my "outside offense" because if a team plays 3-2 against you, your team will tend to go more inside while still shooting some from outside more successfully than in the LI

I haven't really had a whole lot of success during my team in BB. I would actually say I am one of the most impatient managers in this game which at times is the downfall of my team. But anyways...

I started off in season 12 and I quickly fell in love with one of the players on my team, Jay Martinez. Martinez was only starter potential but he had awesome starting abilities as a PG at age 18. To be honest, I was always skeptical of talking on forums before I started playing BB so I tried to do things my way. It wasn't turning out very well. I was 3 positioning training Martinez, along with a 31yo guard and some mid 20s guys. After not being successful early on I decided to use the forums for help, and that's exactly what it did for me.

I soon began competing in my D.V league and after 2 seasons of training, I promoted into D.IV. But just before promoting, I snagged future USA U21 player, Jonathan Yi, with the last pick in the draft :D

D.IV wasn't very tough for me. I took a quick look when I got into the league and noticed that I was just a few acquisitions away from competing for a championship. The lucky thing was that the best team in the league was on the other side of the conference( Chekreyes' Flash Mashers). Throughout the season I trained Yi along with Martinez still and found myself on top of my league. I saw that the Flash Mashers had an awesome big inside in Gary March so I went out and purchased an 18ID center just to defend him. And it worked. I went on to win the championship against the Flash Mashers by simply buying players that fit in against his team.

D.III has been a struggle for me. Not because I dont know how to play at the top levels, but more because I am in what I believe is one of the most difficult Great 8s in D.III. I have been in the middle of the pack for 4 seasons here but finally find myself on the brink of a championship. How did I do it? By building a LI team that can play PTB if it has to. I haven't done it the conventional LI way though. I have 3 guards on my team that not only can play the LI offense, but they can also shoot the ball well which leads to a very efficient team.

What have I learned with my time on BB? LI will win you games whether you like the offense or not. Patient can be a great change up for a team if played correctly. Princeton just sucks, but I havent had a totally awesome 3 point shooting team. Shot blocking is more important than anyone believes, and without passing your team is going to suck. :D

my team is almost mirror image of yours, just D5 way

My team score, and we run LI (even though I can play other tactics such as Motion, RnG, or PTB, and LP) and we like to score sometimes.....except I never got the U21 player

oh well, hopefully you get out of D3 and have a good run in D2, relegate, get a USA NT Guy along the way, go back to D2, and stay there until your a Coach (For U21 or NT)

Actually I think I am the most impatient person in this game I'm going to be jumping from V. league to III. league in just 3 seasons along with my puny arena and i have gotten a lot of criticism for it haha I will probably fail miserably in III. league but at least i will have fun doing it. My starting guards are set for the next few seasons because i have two 30k+ players at the PG and SG spots so i just need to work on my arena and then try to find better big men.

I don't really follow what you are trying to ask.. arena expansion is very important and it's one of the things i wish i did better. And yours is about as big as mine so congrats (Or at least until i use my promotion money on my arena)
