I decided to log in and watch tonight's game against the Hordes, and to my dismay, I forgot to exclude Francis Garner from tonight's lineup and I was forced to watch him play 12 minutes at PG (His PS is 1). That's the second time this week my trainee didn't get full minutes due to Garner. I'm so flustered

the longer i hang around at this level, the more i need to know about declining players. i've learned something from my oldster, but what happens with one player is a slim reed to build an understanding of the pace and nature of older players. we certainly know more about young players / training than older players / dying.

all that is a preface to what i just saw on the Senecaville Bombers roster page -- ClintWiley is clearing house and has five players exhibiting drops this week -- and, this is the provocative part, three of the drops are HA and the other two PA. could the decline work in some sort of cycle, focusing each week on a skill or two? that means in a twelve week season each skill gets hit two, maybe three times a season. does this pace increase over time? i assume the rate of decline increases with age (Seneca's geriatric crowd are all 37 - 38).

on last night's games: i thought YCU looked really scary, with four players more or less averaging game ratings of 20. and i wonder how far Anchorage will go if they secure HCA through the playoffs?

I stated this earlier this seasons, but for reference purposes...Simmons has experienced 5 skill dropped thus far. In order - 2 SB drops, 2 RB drops, and another SB drop.

WOW! I am 42, and I only have seen my JS go -1, and my vertical jump -1 (although I never really had any vertical leap to speak of, so I am not sure how that is even measured anyway, and my HA -1; however, my passing is +3, so I feel pretty good, especially after seeing Simmons drops :-)

interesting -- my Drury has averaged about 5 drops a season, but he started slow (i remember it went 33, none, 34, three, 35 - 36, nine drops).

trouble is, he is still worth more to me than buying an equally talented but younger replacement. i may keep him til he is 45.

what a great time of the season. so many convolutions: for example, Anchorage is playing Toronto, and Anchorage winning comes pretty close to securing HCA for his conference and a step closer to getting HCA through the playoffs -- and all this without Ty Tracy, who died about five weeks ago but is about to be miraculously resuscitated with HGH.

Anyway, Toronto is sinking like a stone, which means those zombies are set for at least 7th place, which means tonight's meeting of TKI and IYF has some importance, as in who gets to play the zombies? Unless, of course, BNH can muster the wherewithal to win four of the final five games.

Dangerous Desert Storm may or may not be done throwing games in pursuit of the Cup, as is the case for Upsyndrome -- we'll find out tonight. Chargers and Eugene go head-to-head and the Cacti host A-Dubs and the Great Khan takes his aggression out on Irvine. After tonight, the top five teams in the Great 8 could be completely scrambled, stay the same, or something in between.

I think Hoosier tiptoeing into first place and possible HCA through the playoffs (it is likely he runs the table and ends up 17 - 5) is the story of the season -- do we have a Coach of the Year award?

Whew, switched from a normal and GDPing LI to prepping for a punt with no guesses with 45 seconds to go until rosters locked.

One of these seasons, I'll avoid getting beaten early in the cup but for now, my strategy of fashionably exiting earlier than all of you guys pays off again! :)

Well, I punted tonight....but for some reason Ron Swanson saved their A team for their Scrimmage game Thursday....Looks like I may have been out-punted and might get an unexpected win

The Tracy injury has sucked no question. But it also forced me to use a lineup that apparently works better together, their skills meld together a little better if that makes sense. And I've gotten some fortunate draws of teams punting and players on other teams going down. But I appreciate the vote!

Jeezuz. Stop. Hoosier is the lapdog of Satin. I have to see this tubby bitch on damn near a daily basis. He has my Punisher War Journal #6, my copy of "Fletch", and the remote control to my tv. Now he is being dangled as Coach of the Year? WTF?

If you are going to give any praise or recognition, just stinkpalm him. You just take your hand and stick it in your ass. You been walkin all day so you're nervous and no doubt you'll be sweaty as hell.

You'll look like your old man but shake hands with the guy. "Hello Mr Hoosier, how have you been."

You know how long it takes for that smell to come off? Scrub all you want, it'll stick around for two days. How does he explain that to his colleagues and family? They'll think he doesn't know how to wipe his ass properly.
