hey, calm down, take it easy, it's just a normal game. i give my odds no better than 2 - 3. i agree the best way to prepare for Thursday is to maintain some kind of isolation. save your players for some real competition.

Wow has the user base in the USA really shrunk to the point that the cup is now ending earlier? The cup finals were during the playoffs last season and now they will be wrapped up before they get started.

They got rid of DVI, which was 100% bot anyway....getting rid of that unnecessary division has helped to speed up the processes.

It's a good change. I know there have been seasons where the finals pitted a team in the playoffs vs. one that was not. The potential enthusiasm advantage is hard to overcome.

Shawn Bowens wishes he were part of this. But he wasn't.

Can't have it all...

**I took a second look at your box score, now I realize what it is you're gloating about. Hey, do me a favor and shove that box score of your's up your ass, pal. My team tried very hard!

both conferences are up for grabs, but the Allstars have a two game lead, which is tough to overcome with five games to play. for the Great 8, any one of five teams could conceivably end up in first.

the Upsyndrome - Golden Horde game is quite interesting, as A-Dub has the home court and a chance for first place but also is deep into the Cup tourney and faces the Cacti and some other team later this week. does he take the sure victory tonight against a squad that is ranked only 2nd in the country or does he take his chances on Tuesday against Glass and company and / or Thursday that many call The Most Terrifying Team in the Universe?

Being out of the Cup at this stage of the season certainly can be strategically advantageous.

I decided to log in and watch tonight's game against the Hordes, and to my dismay, I forgot to exclude Francis Garner from tonight's lineup and I was forced to watch him play 12 minutes at PG (His PS is 1). That's the second time this week my trainee didn't get full minutes due to Garner. I'm so flustered

the longer i hang around at this level, the more i need to know about declining players. i've learned something from my oldster, but what happens with one player is a slim reed to build an understanding of the pace and nature of older players. we certainly know more about young players / training than older players / dying.

all that is a preface to what i just saw on the Senecaville Bombers roster page -- ClintWiley is clearing house and has five players exhibiting drops this week -- and, this is the provocative part, three of the drops are HA and the other two PA. could the decline work in some sort of cycle, focusing each week on a skill or two? that means in a twelve week season each skill gets hit two, maybe three times a season. does this pace increase over time? i assume the rate of decline increases with age (Seneca's geriatric crowd are all 37 - 38).

on last night's games: i thought YCU looked really scary, with four players more or less averaging game ratings of 20. and i wonder how far Anchorage will go if they secure HCA through the playoffs?
