How exactly do you see the market changing, and what do you think needs to be changed to keep it balanced? Because I would think with both less supply and less demand, the balance would remain but it would be more imperfect (higher chance of deviation from the mean). Maybe some good players will be paid more for, because they become rare and the top is likely to stay the same. In the mean time, there will be less low-end competition, so it would be easier for starting teams to get the lesser players.

Just some thoughts from myself, but I'm interested to see how you see it.

This comes down to an issue of gameplay being too complicated, or too simple to be meet the tastes of a larger public. Depending how complex (and difficult) the game is you will gain some people and lose others.

I realize BB is more complicated than other games and learning curve is high. Guess what, that's why we love this game. There are games for 13y olds, which are chewed and spit out in one month, and then there is BB.

It's like a comparison between Real-action strategy (Command&Conquer) and turn-based strategy (chess). Does chess have to adapt because it doesn't draw attention from Real-action strategy addicts? No, and so shouldn't BB. At least until it makes enough money for owners.

The decrease in game players has been consistent for awhile as you all know. Various opinions have been expressed regarding the complexity of the BB experience, especially for new players. Although I believe that no mountain worth climbing should be too easy, there should be elements added to the game in order to entice individuals to get more involved in the gameplay. I noticed that membership started to consistently decrease when day trading started to become more restricted. I am not advocating a return to day trading rather I am using that as an example of having a game (simple and easy to do) within a greater whole. This would encourage players at any level to be active for longer periods by achieving certain goals. In the case of day trading by making money. By actively pursuing secondary objectives members are being involved in a greater way within the BB gameplay, by not going bot, by setting their team rosters, by training and drafting. Eventually some will learn the intricacies of winning and promoting. What do you guys think?

I think the most important thing is to have people win right at the beginning. Put them in a bot league and let them win each game by 50 points. That was the best thing for me. I think my team was 7 - 7 when I started and then I won 8 straight games. It took a while to promote up but that early win streak sure helped.
