I kinda disagree that there's "zero consistent effect" with Taping Injuries...
Again, with this type of specialty it's very difficult to have any kind of accurate or quantifiable measure, but suffice to say I'm very happy to have a TI guy on my staff.

In a must win game, TI is obviously nice to have. But it either works or it doesn't. (And it usually doesn't). Most weeks you get no benefit from having it. That's what I meant by consistent.

At least you can actually see when TI is effective. (when a player reenters the game). With career extension all you see is it not working!

Good point. It's probably worth it in your case. (I still hate not being able to see when it works though)

Also, when players are injured, and the injury is not significant (only a game-played injury). I think that's TI working.

I tihnk if u read the manual there are a couple of problems in taking what they say literally. they are using 'nice english' such that the manual sounds nice - also such that they do not reveal exactly what is happen, which makes it harder to quantify the results of such specialties
its the same with a level 4 vs level 5 trainer. the manual doesnt say 'training speed increased by 10%'.

So I think we should be careful about taking what the manual says literally. The best interpretation that i can get out of the manual for say Career Extension vs Fitness is

Career Extension - The factor for skill drops is reduced by X%
Fitness - The factor for stamina drops is reduced by Y%

ie: the same thing! Just on different skills and different values of X and Y

If they came out and said "Career Extension - The factor for skill drops will be reduced by 10%" - that would be much nicer!

So, the trainer with career extension specialty might stop (25% chance since there's the usual random factor) the drop for older players and if ever there's a skill drop, the trainer level will minimize the drop (for illustriation purposes: instead of 10.0 going to 9.0, the new skill level might be 9.1 for lower level trainers or 9.2 for higher level trainers)

Thanks for digging that up, +1

Anyone know if he's speaking authoritatively on the 25% or if he's just using it to illustrate that there's a random factor? Grammatically it seem like he's speaking authoritatively but it seems unlike BBs to release this type of info, and the context makes it somewhat unclear.
