Has anyone considered Reddit. Feel this would be a good way to have some targeted publicity. Subreddits like r/nba has 380k users, r/Games has 690k users, r/gamingsuggestions has 18k users, the biggest is r/gaming with 10.4 million users. Being able to get on the front page of these reddits would generate free advertising.

If we could organise a few hundred BB players to upvote each post we could maybe get a good return from it.

If BB-Ryan did this and then added a little blurb about it on everyones homepage the same way he did for Buzz R Beater on twitter I think we could get a thousand upvotes just fine.

I looked a little deeper... I think we'd have to get about 300 likes to make it to any sort of relevant spot on the /gaming page and a hundred or so for the /sports page.

They also offer sponsered posts. If we were to fork over $100 we could fetch ~66,000 impressions on those subreddits. Not sure what an "impression" is. Probably just one time where the add is on their screen?

You should not vote up only things from your domain or project, or have any other employees or fans do the same. Every redditor should evaluate and vote on each submission or comment based on the value when they read it. Only submitting on, or voting on, one particular person, domain, or brand's content will get an account banned from reddit - it's called vote cheating and manipulation.

You should not ask for votes on reddit, even on your twitter or blog or forum - it will get your account banned, and in extreme cases can get your domain banned.


So I guess the blurb on everybody's page asking for votes would be in violation of that rule. That being said I would be willing to make a post on our forums linking to a reddit post and encouraging everybody to look at it and use their own judgement as to whether or not they would like a BuzzerBeater piece on the "hot" section of the reddit sports page. However much publication BB wants to give that would be up to you.
