Exactly. Decimals would be nice but adding them wouldn't solve the real issue which is the training system itself.

I am not talking about my idea fixing the training problem. I am talking about keeping new users interested and nothing is worse than having a 3 week span of no pops as a new team. I have been here since season 7, I know that my player might not pop but his sub levels are increasing, but a newbie doesn't know that and these green arrow droughts are what makes newbies quit.

I have to dissagree with you.....supporters already get an unfair advantage. A second team, an extra game on Friday, bookmarking players(yes, it is a pain not to have this feature). In my opinion, practice makes perfect, and as a supporter, you get much more time playing the game. Why not actually add something that will make people want to be a supporter. I don't want a second team, I don't want a PL game on Friday, I am too busy for these.....but decimals or even something like Tremendous Low/medium/High....I would be a supporter for that.
The main issuse with the game is the amount of users there are. If it goes below 15,000, this game is as good as done. Since they are screwing the pooch on the Micro merge, they better find a way to keep New and old users playing the game.

My 2 Cents;

I posted around 5 seasons ago that to keep new users interested you should speed up training.

Think 2k17 there is a career mode with chance to do training to boost your player.

How many players actually do the training sessions to get cash? NONE because it takes FOREVER to train and it's boring and repetitive and your player sucks while his attributes are so low, they want to play the GAMES but also want to have a good player so instead they play other game modes to earn cash quicker or they buy cash for real money....same for other strategy games they cheat the system to make it more fun and have more success. IF you couldn't do this I really doubt so many players would have great myplayers......

It's 0 and i mean ZERO fun to play a game where you can't afford the good players, it takes 2-3 REAL LIFE YEARS to train a decent player and just get crushed by other users.......I was lucky i joined when economy was low and good players with high salary where available for very little less than a weeks wages. I quit Utopia after 1 season as i couldn't buy anyone and lost interest in watching my team lose every week for another 2 years.

Now the ineffectiveness of training threatens the whole BB economy as players are SO valuable that we have to have MOUNTAINS of cash to buy anyone half decent.

Add that to the FACT that you are forced to semi tank if you want to train players and now team aren't trying to compete if they are training so might as well save money for players in future when training is done.

So again i'd suggest if you want to fix the game and make it more FUN speed up training either all players that play 48 minutes get effect or take large % off all training speeds so for example players pop after EVERY game (3 times a week) no need to have less effect of out of position training ie outside D if played at C either, most Centres are tall and therefore train OD slower anyway.....to penalize additional 10-20% is unneeded.

I have personally introduced this game to 12 users including 2-3 who LOVE championship manager NONE kept playing due to the time required to build a team.

good luck with fixing game I hope it doesn't fold as I do like playing.

JB

Newbies aren't going to have supporter, so if it's for supporters, it won't affect newbies anyways.

Imo, the main issue that needs to be solved is increasing the supply of good players. First, it's by fixing the training system. Then increase the supply in the draft. Then control inflation using Free Agent supply. A team should be able to have enough assets to compete in 6 - 24 months irl (based on how large their nation is), and the differences between teams should be understanding of the game (skills, tactics, etc.). I remember when I started, BC Tooroo was working on Princeton offense, and had a better understanding of it than most.

The second issue is LI dominance. LI dominance may be solved just by making training easier as well, since more teams would be able to try building SB teams. I'm banking on a strong SB team to solve a LI offense, but have been working on it for a year, and will need to wait another year before I can test it out.

Great Post!!! I think the best way to put more diversity into the tactics is to remove LI all together. If it is not an option, people would have to play other tactics.

I'll probably quit Utopia because of the fan boycott. This team was meant to be an NT farm for our shrinking nation. Losing was perfectly fine for me...

training out of position is already possible in BB. the problem is that penalties are too harsh so nobody uses it. if you trained passing, training rates should be 100% (PG), 98% (SG), 96% (SF), 93% (PF) and 90% (C), not 100-90-80-70-60 like today. training 100% is painfully slow, so 90% is a big punishment. however, it could be bearable if the tradeoff is playing your center as a center and still getting 90% of the training. that would keep the spirit of training but also allow flexibility.

It's a big punishment if you are training high potential guys. If you are training a starter/star/all star it's not that bad.

Also at some point they will have to understand that you don't fix this just fiddling and fiddling and fiddling with the demand side without ever touching the supply side. You can easily speed up point 5. above and make it less painful if you just increase the training speed, which, it shouldn't surprise anyone, would also boost the value of training...

Agreed. I've been advocating an influx of high level trainers (with low starting salaries), which would help boost training speed and the economy.
