Can you give us some more details? What have you been training? Which positions/how many positions? Which players? How many minutes have they been getting? What level is your trainer? There are a lot of variables involved in training. Training some skills (outside defense, inside defense, etc.) takes a lot longer than training others (driving, handling, etc.). It also takes longer to train a tall player at a guard skill (ex: training a 7'0'' guy at outside defense takes longer than training a 6'0'' guy at outside defense). Age of players is also a factor, as is salary/skill level. I'm happy to help you out with a training schedule, if you want... just let me know.

your have some young players with high potential. what level trainer do you have?
what are you training?
with a 4-5 level trainer you should get some pops. are you training TEAM or just one postion?
I had a MVP player and he would take 3 weeks to pop if I trained C/PF/SM, and that was with a 6 trainer.

dont give up yet

EDIT- really, this should be in Newbie Help forum
maybe a MOD will move it

Previous to this past week I had been working on inside scoring and rebounding. This past week I set my training on outside shooting for my wings (SG/SF) and got nothing again. About a month ago I set my training on driving ability and got nothing from that as well.
I don't really have a set schedule, but I am trying to get as many players as I can above the 48 minute mark each week so that I can get as many trained as possible. But, nothing seems to work.
The other thing I don't get is why my players' DMI is going down. I thought that number only went up. For example, this player (9207146) was at a DMI of 50,200 last week and now this week he is at 41,500.
What's the secret? Do I need a higher level trainer?

DMI - Deliberately Meaningless Index

If it changes then you know training occured.

I'd say in general you're better off with some kind of set training schedule... or at least an idea of which players (5 or fewer at 1-2 positions is best) you want to train each week. Most skills take more than one week to pop, so if you're training a different skill every week (and for different players) it is entirely possible to go a long time without any pops.

Just as an example, if you're training one-on-one for guards, that should produce pops in driving after 2-3 weeks, handling after 3-4, jump shot after 4-6, and inside shot after 5-7. There's a thread dedicated to the amount of time it takes to get pops with different types of training.... I'm sure someone else will post it here at some point, otherwise I'll go hunt it down.

As far as DMI goes, it is highly dependent on game shape. Also, it doesn't particularly matter if it goes down, just as long as it changes so you know that training has occurred. If your player's game shape goes down, though, his DMI will also go down.

What level is your trainer? In Div V, the absolute maximum you would need is a level 4. Anything above that is probably a waste of money due to the huge salary and huge signing bonus.

Here's the guys who got minutes at SG/SF last week for you:

SG B. Albright 33+42
SG A. Muro Nájera 15+34+6
SF B. Gold 33+48
SF J. Watts 48+15

They all got >48 which is good. But, Gold is 30, you probably shouldn't expect any pops from him. Najera is 23, so while he's certainly still trainable, he'll go a lot slower than some of your other guys. It also seems like you have a lot of young guys that didn't get training minutes (Beltra, Dolan, Singer)--why not train positions where those guys play?
