why not give everything you have and try to end on a positive note ??
I think the better question is why would he give everything he has? The value of winning that game for him was zero, but by going out of his way to to take a game that actually matters to me, he made an enemy of me. I guess what I'm saying is that it's nice to have an unspoken agreement that if a game is meaningless to team A and important to team B, team A isn't going to go out of their way to screw over team B. I see that I don't have that with Tech Fouls and I'll remember it, hence my post.
I debated about posting. I was online late Saturday night and saw your original post and was completely taken aback. I almost responded then, but thought you were reflexively ranting while upset. I thought I'd let you sleep on it assuming cooler heads in the morning would prevail. Alas, I was surprised again to read your completely out of line comments and blatant misrepresentation of what happened even after more than one pointed out more than one way your perspective was skewed. I was quite busy and couldn't get online to reply until now and this is in response to all yours posts, not just the quote above. I'm sorry if this also is perceived as some affront against you.
For those counting at home ozone referenced our game this past weekend as having no value to me about 957 times. I don't know what the betting line was, but I hope you took the over. Of course, this continued framing of the game is completely false and insulting. Ozone, your inability to properly view this situation from anything but your narrow self-centered biased viewpoint does more to point out your inadequacies and arrogance than any potential slight against you. To continually pretend that this game had absolutely no value to me and my team is just plain wrong and total BS.
Until now I have never heard anyone say league games in the NBBA have zero value. If this is true, it's totally news to me. Since I might be naive, please help me out. Which league games of yours this season had absolutely zero value? Would you also mind pointing out which games had zero value for EDH and Kurgans? I'm going to be quite upset if they underhandedly won those meaningless games since I auto demoted by 1 game and some PD!!! Maybe my game with Bullish late in the season was totally meaningless and he accidentally beat me by mistake. WTF?!?! Can we get a re-do so I have a chance to finish in 7th? That only seems fair...
I know, I'm being unfair, you probably are implying the game meant nothing to the standings. Oh wait, it actually mattered quite a bit apparently so you don't mean that. Maybe you simply mean that in your own world where the sun revolves around you that the game didn't affect my position in the standings. You are right, I'm still autodemoting, but you see, not adjusting my position in the standings after one game and having zero value being totally meaningless are VERY different. What you fail to grasp is that the way the season ended this game actually was extremely important to my club and the outcome has direct implications. What? How so, you just said you're still finishing in 8th? Yes, but I'm talking about fan club and money. This is the last competitive game my team will probably play in the NBBA, possibly ever, but certainly the final meaningful (there's that word again) game for a few weeks. This means when the fan mood is recalculated my team will have absolutely no events that can alter its level. Whatever the outcome, fans will leave or stay for multiple updates based on this outcome. So, not only was it the final league game, but also a home game and a TV game, factors which elevate the status and ramifications of fans. The only possible factor that could have made this game more important was if it were a rivalry game. Winning this game means more fans, higher merchandise money short term, and more revenue during the first few games of next
