I don't think tonight was all that impressive from a GDP guessing point of view...I felt very confident going in that at the very least I'd break even on the guesses, if not win the guesses....Now, Game 2, I think will be a totally different story...we'll see if either of us have the guts to even make a GDP guess.

I should get my injured player back for that game, and of course HCA....but I won't be +2 in Enth and won't get to play the game with more effort, and certainly won't have +3 in my favor with GDP guesses.....HCA better be significant for me or Acker and the rest of those incredible TKI players are going to even this series and then crush us in game 3.

Definitely proud of tonight's effort though. Even with all that was in my favor tonight, I didn't expect to win on the road.

who is Irby? how can a 24 yr old $15,000 PF be the linchpin to an NBBA defense?

I really don't know why Irby is still listed as a PF....he and Estes aren't too different (obviously there are differences, but not as great as you'd think), and Estes is listed as a PG. Obviously he's better than his current salary...but his salary shouldn't go up too much in a few weeks, the following season there should be a big jump though.

I have said it before, but I promoted too quickly based on my trainee program....I was shocked that I could rely on Estes and Irby to win games in D2, and even now in the NBBA they have proven reliable. Irby has put up 13-15.5 ratings as a SF depending on how many minutes he plays...but that's crazy at that position.

Oudin can be a stud at any of the 5 positions....Irby is capable of playing any of the 5 positions and not sucking, and Estes can play the 1-3 positions.

Regardless of how predictable magiker is in his offense for GDP purposes, that's still a hell of a win.

I feel like the Finals are a toss up now.

Thanks :-)

For the record, I did not mean to imply I think Magiker is predictable....I felt I had a good read on things going into Game 1 of this series....The King and I can play just about every tactic, and nearly has this season. Game 2 is much more unpredictable.

I agree it's now a toss up series...but I think it's pretty much a one game series....if my team doesn't protect home court and win Game 2, Game 3 will be an ugly win for TKI.

i'm liking this aw-shucks, humbler Jason.

you're not giving yourself enough credit for great training. crap, let us say Irby's new salary next season reflects his skills -- if it is tripled, that would be astonishing, and he would still be well under $50,000, a tremendous bargain for a starting G on an NBBA finals team. Estes is the same.

no, something else is going on here. TKI is literally a world-class team, with four NT players (at one time or another) and a helluva SF. and Irby and Estes are helping to keep this squad of demi-gods in check? that is pretty impressive.

i'm with Dunkface -- these next two games, if it goes that far, look to be very interesting. put on a good show for us!

Is it game time yet? I am so anxious for this game to be played! I'll be watching from the Tilted Kilt tonight (http://www.tiltedkilt.com/) while I watch Oklahoma vs Iowa State (College Football) We are huge Oklahoma Sooner fans in my family, and the game is not being shown on TV tonight in Arizona...so we'll be going to the Tilted Kilt where the Oklahoma Alumni meet to watch the games on Satellite TV.

Watching the game with scantily clad women running around = good....sitting next to my mom watching the game with scantily clad women running around = not so good. lol but should be a fun time tonight!

From what Buzzer Manager says, Irby won't even hit $30K in salary next season. He's really balanced, not super high in any one rating (well, maybe one)....His OD is finally decent, but just now approaching D2 level....Next season he'll reach NBBA level OD and the following he'll reach NBBA level Passing, and his salary will be sky high after that.

I think the Arizona magic is on empty.....Congrats Magiker on a great win tonight.

I can't imagine staying within 15 tomorrow night, but we'll give it our best effort!
