"These aren't just relegation games. We don't feel like these games don't matter, just because we weren't in the top 4 of our division. These games are statements! We are making statements to the rest of the league for how next year is going to turn out!"

Statements were made indeed...
Otherland annhilated the Bostics 118-61 in their 1st game of the relegation series.Otherland got off to a strong start holding the Bostics to 1-18 shooting, and 2-2 at the FT line in the 1st quarter. Bostics' first FG of the game came with 4 seconds left in the 1st quarter! How is that for a shut-down defense?!

Paul Salas player of the game, if you can call it a game, shooting 10-14, 2-2 FTs, 22 points 14 rebounds (3 offense) 2 assists 2 blocks 2 turnovers in 30 minutes of action.
Julio Falcao 10-19 shooting, 1-2 splitting a pair at the line, 21 points 6 rebounds (3 offense) 6 assists 2 steals in 35 minutes of play.
Tapia Gomez starting at PF to rest Belkhaouos some, 7-11 shooting, 2-9 at the FT line, 16 points 12 rebounds (2 offense) 5 assists 2 steals 1 block in 27 minutes of action
Stuart Watt had his best game as a Champion, shooting 6-14, 1-1 from deep, 13 points 4 rebounds 5 assists 4 blocks 2 turnovers in 33 minutes.
Belkhaouos off the bench 5-7, 2-2 FT 12 points 10 rebounds (5 offense) 2 assists 2 blocks 1 turnover in 21 minutes.

Otherland outrebounded Bostics 65-35 and 22-10 offensively.
Otherland 36:11 assists:turnovers Bostics 12:18

Will Otherland continue to make a lasting impression for other Managers to think about for next season? Here at the Oracle we think so.

Otherland, playing with a little less effort in relegation game 2 vs the Bostics, but with the same outcome. Otherland easily cruised to a 95-60 win over the Bostics. Statement received by the Bostics, who I am sure, are thankful they don't see much of Otherland next season.

POG was again, Paul Salas:
Salas led all players in Scoring, Rebounding, and tied for Steals.
Salas was 9-13 from the floor, and 4-8 at the line. Salas scored 22 points going along with 20 rebounds (6 on offense), 1 assist, 3 steals, 3 blocks, and 1 turnover in 36 minutes of action.

Zwirski 6-17 shooting, 2-6 from deep, recorded 14 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists in 31 minutes

Huey 19 minutes of action 11 points on 5-8 shooting, 1-2 from 3pt-land 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 1 block.

Belkhaouos committing almost half of Otherland's turnovers, still a solid performance. 31 minutes, 5-11, 0-1 from deep, 10 points 9 rebounds 1 steal 5 blocks and 4 turnovers.

Falcao a horrible shooting performance when nobody on Otherland (except him) struggled.
1-13 shooting, 1-6 from downtown, 3 points 3 rebounds, 7 assists, 3 steals, 1 block, and 1 turnover in 31 minutes of action.

Otherland shot 42-99 as a team, Bostics 20-71, Otherland outrebounded the Bostics 65-38. Otherland 30 assists : 9 turnovers, Bostics 17 assists : 15 turnovers.

Otherland with some scrimmages left in their schedule.

Quiet days in Otherland, with just some scrimmages left in the season. probably not any big news until draft day.

Will report that the ShopWrekkers, whom had a late season surge to move from 4th in the division to #2, and knocked off league favorites to win it all Ravenswood River Rats in the semi-finals, did win their first game over RookTroopers by a score 106-98.

Oscar Gonzalez, 8th in MVP voting, and league's 2nd leading scorer, just missed a triple double.

I believe Ravenswood River Rats will still promote due to bot promotion, despite not being in the finals/winning finals.

1 Ravenswood River Rats 21 1 3013 2257 0.955 756

would have a fairly good chance, given the PD of 756, and a 21-1 record?

1 The RookTroopers 21 1 2383 1864 0.955 519 nearest competitor (and losing in finals game so far)

When coach Troy Valmont was interviewed: "We felt that we did play the scrimmage as friendly as a team, we are still trying to establish our identity, as well as make a statement to our league for the upcoming season. The Mountain Eagles opted a sub-par choice of tactic. We had already announced Salas would get a bulk of time in the game for training purposes, and that most starters would play. The Mountain Eagles chose to do a Look Inside offense. Belkhaouos and Salas both took it personally. That was part of the problem. We wanted Quigley to get about as much playing time as Paul today, but Paul would not sub off the court. The boy plays with passion!"

Otherland handed the Mountain Eagles their first back-to-back loss of the season. And coasted to a 94-68 victory over the Mountain Eagles trainees, subs, and Ruiz. Ruiz, did have a solid performance.

Yim Chung Hui was the Otherland POG. Coming off the bench for Belkhaouos cause of foul trouble, and then staying on the court by the merit of his play.
Chung Hui scored 19 points on 8-14 shooting, 1-2 from downtown, 2-3 at the line, Hui added 12 rebounds (2 offense) 4 assists and 1 block in 26 minutes of action.
Paul Salas 18 points on 7-12 shooting, 4-5 at the line, grabbing 9 boards (1 offense) 2 steals 1 block and 1 turnover in 32 minutes.
Quigley only getting 16 minutes, scored 8 points on 4-5 shooting, 0-2 at the charity stripe, contributed 4 rebounds (1) 4 assists 1 block and 1 turnover.
Stuart Watt had his best game as a Champion! 5-7 shooting, 10 points, 2 rebounds (1), 9 assists, 2 steals, 2 blocks, 0 turnovers in 39 minutes. He also mystified Rabi the entire game with his defense.
Belkhaouos battling foul trouble and Chung Hui, 22 minutes: 10 points, 4-6 shooting, 2-2 at line, converting 9 rebounds 1 steal 4 blocks and 1 turnover.
Falcao 39 minutes, 4-12 shooting, 1-2 from deep for 9 points 6 rebounds (1) 7 assists 2 steals 1 block 2 turnovers.
Thad Barrow 23 minutes in relief of ineffective Zwirski. 4-13 shooting, 0-3 deep, splitting a pair at line. 9 points 9 rebounds (4) 1 assist 1 steal 2 blocks and 1 turnover.

Every player for Otherland scored except Zwirski. and Huey was the only player other than Zwirski to NOT record a block. Champion level defense from the Otherland Champions, hopefully, to prepare them for a championship win in their division!
