Interesting turn of events :)

Round 1 could be fun to watch... Really not sure what teams I'd bet on at this point, any predictions? I think I would have to go with all of the home teams in round one if I had any money on it... But since I don't, I'll say home teams in Big 8 and away teams in Great 8.

Why? You would probably just forget to set your lineup, or do it from your phone and leave the guy inactive anway ;)

wow, glad your offense didn't find the on switch sooner! only 34 points the first 3 quarters combined, then 33 in the 4th...
anyway, i knew 1 of my new guys would get hurt in the first few minutes. a little surprised your sf only took 4 shots since i had a center at sf all game. guess Hrabkovský must have legendary JS & colossal JR or something? (hard to believe your SF was never the better mismatch)

Round 2... all eyes are on Phoenix. a definite fan-favourite with their explosive, high-octane offense. Can they keep up their usual blistering pace at The Strand? It's one thing to run up the score at a home playoff game, but on the road it's a whole new ballgame. a whole new ballgame. Phoenix's major weakness is their sloppy, porous defense... If they can't learn to at least defend a little in the next 4 days, I wonder if BuzzerBeater's 2nd best offense won't be watching the finals on tv?

Kartlos Skhirtladze is a definite concern. As is greek-god, "Dodge" Stratis Dialektos.

But if you remember game 2 of last season's finals, Kartlos came in to a tie game in the 4th quarter. He single-handedly willed your team to a 4 point lead. Then for some reason you replaced him with only 3 1/2 minutes left. The end result: you ended up losing by 7 points. Hopefully you continue to undervalue his presence on the court.

My thoughts on the Great 8 finals: The Contortionists had far & away the weakest offense in all of Div II. But they made up for it with their "bend" not break defense & a shifty lineup of ne'er-do-wells. They struggled offensively in round 1, and look to score even less (if that's possible) in the conference finals. Any path to success will involve dirty play, injury & their usual slow paced snooze-fest on offense. Not pretty to watch, but effective. The Kelly Sportsbook in PA has the Contortionists on the board as a 1000-1 favourite. With odds like that, anything short of a win will be considered a complete failure & can only be viewed as a managerial emasculation.
