Excuse me first if only now I write in the forum, but I've had so far very little time to follow the start of this Utopia

Nothing to say ... better tactics, 2 decent players and home advantage

It won't be an easy ride...
I'm not lucky: starting with an away game and unfortunately an away game in the cup...

So I will need to train my youngsters...

I bought two players at random (one already injured) and I went well ...

Now let's see if with a little 'more time I can set up a decent team...

I'm a little surprised with how this league has played out so far. Shocked might be a better word. I have one good player and I only bought him to reach the salary floor. By next season I could have some great trainees and a couple of really nice youth prospects from the draft. This compared to buying ok to good players to fill out a roster now only to have to blow it up next year in diii. To each their own I guess. Best of luck to everyone this season but we aren't going to be fighting for anything but a high pick in the draft!!;)

Surprising is one way to put it. I thought I was putting a decent roster together, but too much focus on the cup has screwed up my GS and my enthu. So my cup run continues, I pay alot of salary, and I'm 0-6 in the league.

Also, you don't have to pay salary floor. Although it shows up on team page, you only pay actual salary.

Your approach is the right one for the medium-long term.
My philosophy is completely different.
I have taken the decision to play in Utopia aware that I can not devote too much time.
Yeah I struggle with the main team ( I have it since the season number 3) ... to follow by a second team in the same way ... it is virtually impossible for me.

I've never come close to the salary floor since it started several seasons ago, not having to meet it is news to me. Now that I purchased a good player I might have to keep him for a little bit so he isn't a total waste of money, but that could change next week for all I know.

Hi,

Personally, for the moment, I just bought a decent player inside, and recruited a young player in addition to the 2 that I already had in my team to the start. And for the moment I turn like this, and I watch what happens.

I save enough money to make the necessary adjustments when needed.

Otherwise, like Samantha, I spend less time on the second team as my main. Virtually, I already give a lot of my time to the French community (ODP & administration of external forum).
