yea...they should join the new Big East. I mean right now they should be getting more recruits so thats good for them.

Michigan wins. And FGC up 15-4 early. Love me some basketball!

It was an ugly start for Florida, but as expected they got their feet under them, got the right matchups out there and got control of the game and never looked back. Loved the tournament run by Gulf Coast and hopefully this is the sign of good things to come in the future - my wife's family in Fort Myers was definitely excited by this run. The only unfortunate thing from Florida's perspective is that they didn't give up three more point so that silly "singe digit games" stat can be put to bed.

Did anyone else see the Louisville player who snapped his leg in half at the calf? It made me cringe. Very heartbreaking.

Ouch. Replay is on yahoo sports main page. Shaun Livingston nasty. Worst basketball injury ever?

If you remember me, then I don't care if everyone else forgets.

It may actually be better that it broke where it did though... If it had been higher up by the knee or lower down by the ankle then he is dealing with a lot more ligaments which makes come backs a lot harder. Not saying that was a good spot to break it in half, but it could have been a lot worse, (which is very scary to say).

He is already looking at least at a rod, and probably 7-8 pins/screws. Not too mention probably 2 months before he even walks on it. I'm not saying a comeback is impossible..... but I wouldn't pencil him in for playing time. To me, this looked similar but worse than the injury that ended QB Joe Theismann's career.

Gotta say, I can't imagine being on that bench. Not an scene any of them will ever forget.

No, but it sounds awful. Hate to see any of these kids have something like that happen to them. I lost all my hoops appetite earlier in the day watching Florida's shooting woes at Jerry World continue against a Michigan team that had found its stroke late against Kansas and never lost it. It would be a bad sign for the Gators that JerryWorld has the Final Four next season, except that of course you've got to get past the Elite 8 to get there and, well, that hasn't gone over so well recently.
