I'm sort of the same. My team's aging. I have no future building blocks besides Ismael, but he's going to be 28 in two weeks and he's capped.

Economically, it makes the most sense to gut right after you win a title. You've got a ton of guaranteed cash coming in, so you can be fielding nobodies and still sell out your arena. This means ignoring the B3, which isn't fun, but you can't win the B3 without a very large bankroll to begin with. And that's something I lack.

So this is my window. I could maybe stretch it another season, but I'd have to get lucky with the TL and whose available on it for what price coincides for when I have cash.

It's far too hard (and I won't have nearly the cash necessary) to get the type of players I want for an outside attack (the TL has no viable guards with the skills necessary, and the outside bigs are all super expensive). So figuring out training would be a gigantic pain in the rear. It's possible I just say, "Screw it" and retire instead of training new guys. I doubt I train another inside focused team, although there are a few things I've wanted to change about my current team that I suppose I could do in a new one.

How does Game 1 of the Championship end up with fewer fans in attendance than the Conference Championship?

Wow, couldn't have scripted a worse start to this series than that. Can't shoot, can't defend, can't hang on to the ball, can't make FTs....so far, we look very outclassed and don't belong on the same court as Bullish. Whoa!

Now THAT is weird. I don't think I've ever seen a championship game not fully sell out the arena. Maybe they're too partied out from celebrating your Cup win?

I thought about going 2-3 zone against you, but I'm pretty happy I didn't. Forcing 15 turnovers to only 16 assists is really good. As expected, you crushed me on the glass. I swear the 2-3 zone gives a boost to not just defensive rebounding, but also offensive rebounding. I was thinking I might have to go 2-3 zone just to protect my own glass.

What is your experience with inside iso? I personally haven't used it in a league game before but I like what I see from your boxscore yesterday.

Keep in mind it's against a 2-3 zone, but if you have players with more dynamic/versatile builds, inside iso can really work. I'd like to change a few things for some of my players, but for my SF Poom, it shines. My PF Pratt usually does very well in the iso offenses, but last night was an exception.

Good o-flow helps a lot. There seem's to be far more passing than you'd expect from an isolation style offense.

I'm a little astounded that I lost the relegation series to a team with only one player over $100k salary. I was pretty sure I had it....oh well, guess it's time for me to move down. Good luck to the rest of you.

Yeah, no idea where the turnovers came from...For a while in the first quarter, we had more turnovers than shot attempts....I guess Poon is a 2-3 killer....I totally agree with you about 2-3 boosting offensive rebounds too...another oddity that only happens in BB!

Great job in Game 1....A whole seasons worth of success earning HCA gone in one game! Going to take a miracle to pull out game 2 at your place. Maybe your team will miss the bus or something :-)

Poon has ended many a young athlete's dreams of grandeur, which just further emphasizes how amazing Wilt was to fight through all of that.
