at least I won't have to worry about playing against Pratt or Poom again (I hate those guys).

Yup, love em. They're getting old though. When they really start dropping in skills, my team is going to suck. It'd take forever to train up replacements for them. Whenever that does happen, I'll be dropping down in leagues. Might wind up playing in a league with you again sooner rather than later.

Money vs. Performance:

I suck now (3-3 and trying to avoid relegation), but am suddenly flush w/ cash $$$. Perhaps, if I can time it just right ... I can use that money to stay alive ... or win the NBBA Title ...

three overtime games so far this season -- not easy on the nerves.

and i think it is ominous that the Big 8 won six of eight tonight, on the road.

I was about to say something about the 6 road wins, but I forgot that all the away teams were from the Big 8.

When I saw I won on the road, I allowed myself to think "Yeeess, pulling away in the conference!" Looked at the league page and hopes were dashed. It was astounding, I didn't want to believe at first. So many?

Well, back to where we started.

-Tucumcari played the Chargers tough

-upstart Kurgans beat the NBBA champs

-Toronto took Eugene to OT

ya, the Big8 is better. We have Bullish, 2 upstarts (Barbarians & Kurgans), plus 2 mainstays (Toronto & EDH).

-Weren't the Tech Fouls vying for the NBBA Title last year ... ? Now they are in last place (although, poised to make a comeback, I am sure)

Ya, the Blue league is tough ... even if Bullish loses its best player to injury at the worst possible time, I don't like my chances ...

wow. looks like Tangosz is cashing in his chips. looking over the players available and reviewing his record, all i can see are reasons why not to do this:
-- 5-3 W/L, including whupping my tail.
-- players are young, and most are American.
-- the whole team is pretty salary efficient: a winning record and a payroll below the league average.
-- revenues are decent to good. the whole enterprise has to be making money.

when the stadium expansion is thrown into the mix, i can not connect the dots.
