So does, Jason. He used the 2-3 zone in the finals last season. Apparently none of his friends tried to stop him from doing so. Sad story.

LOL, I have had success using 2-3 zone; but other times it has blown up in my face. The frustrating thing is I can rarely see the specific reasons why it works well in one game and not another.

That said, I went into the series last season with Magiker with an Enth advantage, Crunched his Normal, and felt I had a good read on GDP. When my team didn't hold on at home to win in game 2, I went into game 3 with pretty much equal Enth, same effort, and a much less certain read on GDP...in that 3rd game my much inferior roster needed something to gives us a boost.

I felt my only hope was to exploit what I felt was already an advantage in rebounding for my team. So I figured going 2-3 zone would allow us to dominate the glass and give my team more shots than TKI. It worked...kind of. We destroyed them on the offensive glass 15-4 (although total rebounds was pretty even), and we had 12 more shots than TKI in that game.

Unfortunately it seems that we missed about all of those extra possession shots and to make matters worse TKI shot 54% for the game. Wouldn't have been my ideal choice to play 2-3 zone...but TKI was so much better than my team, pretty much across the board; so I had to do something to try to shake things up.

i've got AI woes.

put in a lineup with two blank positions. the GD MF SOB AI unilaterally subbed a bench player for one of my three named starters and so hates my hotshot PF that he has kept Pintore in there with 4 fouls, although the instructions are to sit people in foul trouble.

i don't mind the Cacti going on a 31 - 6 run to bury my ass, but i would at least like it to be because of decisions that i have made. my players don't fit the AI mold and by god he ain't going to play them, come hell or high water.

i've been playing this game too long to be learning lessons like this -- no more AI. that fatass, stupid, smelly, crap-eating turd blossom is history.

With road games against Delta 9 & You in my next two games, I'm sure the losses are coming.

I'm shopping for a new trainer but to my dismay, there doesn't seem to be any holiday specials. Paying 1m+ for a trainer (lvl 5 w/ career extention) is a ridiculous waste of money. What idiots spread this epidemic? Not enough supply for demand.

You nailed it on the supply and demand comment. It is following the prices of what the top players are going for (as evidenced by your purchases and sales this season). Add in the fact you are looking for essentially looking to purchase a hedge/insurance to protect the value of your purchases, a trainer that not only helps young players but also old ones, you have a fairly rare commodity and the market is pricing in that scarcity.

Completely agree that it is a waste of money but that seems to be the new normal for now.
