Absolutely shocked at the prices people where paying for 32-34 year old low post players making over 200k a week. I had honestly intended to make a 2nd major purchase this weekend and give Vertical a run for their money. Bids exceding 800k for a 34 year old center, over 1 million for a 33 year old power forward, etc. Was just to much to stomach.

I can't say that I'm disappointed that you didn't add a player.

Prices always seem to get crazy before the playoffs. In an effort to beat Bullish Mentality a few season ago, I spent way too much on $200K+ guy (10751231) on the Saturday before the playoffs (even though I couldn't really afford him). My plan obviously didn't work...and it took me a season to recover from the damage:

Transfer 4/28/2012 19 Purchased from yigidospor for $ 853 700
Transfer 5/12/2012 19 Purchased from 10inch Vertical for $ 94 200

For every one time a guy successfully comes out of nowhere loads up at the end, defies the odds and promotes, there are 4 times where it blows up in the guys face. If you think about it, most of the time the championship comes down to 1-2 maybe 3 teams that were ahead of the pack all season. With HCA being as strong as it is in this game, it's tough to to do enough at the end to overcome a quality team's HCA.

I think the market did Calfson a favor by boxing him out :-)

No doubt in my mind that you have earned the home seed and have had the best team all season. I've never actually gone out and "bought" a promotion at the end of the season, although that had sort of been my plan this year. I'm glad to see the implementation on game shape going forward to limit this. Having said that, I still can't believe the prices people where willing to pay. I can understand 800-1 mill plus for a big man in the 180 up salary range towards the end of his prime (say 30-31?). I can't understand paying 800k+ for a 33-34 year old player. Insanse.

Good luck through the playoff's. Although the games have to be played still, I imagine you'll be enjoying the big paydays up in Div I next season.

(11770058) Easley snagged the scoring title this season no matter how you slice it. Best pt/game, most total pts, most FTs made, most FG made total and per game. Great season for my favorite player to ever play for the club!

Would you say he's Easley like Sunday morning?

Or would that be raising the (Théo) Bar too high for praise?

Ouch. Bad. Ug. Opening round playing out as expected. 1's looking good against the 4's. 2's and 3's in tight fought battles.
