As a life long Nuggets fan i think getting "Brickladala" was a great move for the nuggets for they got an Allstar Olympian and only lost an SG who didn't get many minutes and a backup PF that was easily disposable in Afflalo and Harrington.

@EBW Affalo got lots of minutes and was a starter. Considering he is entering his peime maybe it wasnt such a bad trade

Afflalo and Harrington both had contracts that were "VERY" hard to get rid of...

The Nuggets are quite thrilled to be gone with both their contracts. This clears space for them for Jordan Hamilton, and Fornier. And, now it gives them the bonus of being able to bring in Wilson Chandler off the bench.

I believe Lakers push the Thunder to 7, but won't win it. another Thunder Heat match where Durant (even though he and Lebron are friends) he'll be super mad to where he goes on a scoring rampage, and Russel Westbrook passes it more to where the Thunder win it all in 6! THUNDER.

PS. I believe within 10 years Stern will be fired, they bring in a commissioner that was a Sonics fan, then he pushes the NBA to bring in two expansion teams, the Seattle Sonics and Pittsburgh idk what their team name will be.......(Power? Piranhas? idk)

anyways that will happen, Sonics come back ;)

First of all Stern wont fire himself. He has said he will retire in the next five years. He has also said his greatest regret is the Sonics leaving Seattle. There will be a team there someday. Pittsburgh? I doubt it. Small market no money. St Louis is probably the largest American venue without a team. Mexico City is an outside the box thought. No time zone issues like Europe has and 20 million people.

No love for the Sixers Tough? They have quietly become one of the deeper, longer, more athletic, shooting teams in the league. Don't sleep on that team. In the east they are clearly the second best team but all of a sudden they look like a match up problem for the Heat. I am not predicting Finals but I wouldn't be surprised.

I think this deal worked out really well for the Nuggets, Lakers and Sixers. Here is why..,

Phillys biggest problem was an inability to score in the half court because of a lack of a post scorer and a lack of 3 point shooting. With Bynum and Richardson they address both of those concerns by trading a player who was redundant of the skills of Evan Turner and Thad Young. They are a far more balanced team today than they were previously.

The nuggets now have a nice mix of athletes and shooters. They have rebounding, perimeter D and maybe the best shot blocker in the game. Igudola really added a much needed perimeter defender and slasherto compliment Wilson Chandler, Gallinari and Ty Lawson. Also has the great passing ability to find those shooters when open. This trade really added to the overall makeup of that team, and I could see them battling with the Spurs and Clippers to be at the top of that second echalon of teams out west.

The Lakers it worked bringing in a much more active defender and protector of the basket. It also allows Pau to see more touches in the post and brings in maybe the premier pick and roll big man (Howard) to play with the greatest pick and roll pg of all time. The pieces of the Lakers compliment each other a lot better with Howard than with Bynum. While I think Bynum has superior post moves, they really needed Dwight's defensive player of the year presence more than a player who needs touches in the post and is unproven in a pick and roll offense.

Really this trade was great for three teams and terrible for a forth. But name one other trade in the history of sports that made three teams better than they were before? It was truly a unique transaction that may never be duplicated for a long time.

and what do Magic get? a one way ticket to the first overall pick in the draft?

That's what I think. The worst team in the east will be the magic. the worst team in the west will be rockets. then there's everyone else and so forth. bad thing is I think this is the weakest draft in NBA history, unless there's a lot of unknown high schoolers, but who thinks there's another Anthony Davis story? I don't think so, there are only 3-6 good guys in next season's draft, which would make it a serious competition for these bad teams to get in that top 5. I also think this season Rockets will trade off Martin for some cap space to go after some big names in free agency. for the next season. like James Harden, etc. etc. and so with that I say the trade was bad for Magic....in terms of wanting to compete, it was good, if you wanted the first pick in the weakest draft in NBA history.......
