If I transfer list a player before my finals game, is he still allowed to participate in the finals games?

He will play in your games because it takes at least 3 days for a guy to sell.

Are you sure? I thought if you had a player listed on the TL for playoffs he became unable to play.

The message "unable to play PO" is for the possible new owner ... Your player is able to play for you as long as he has no new team. So don“t worry, put him on the list - he will play this evening

IIRC there was a US owner that got screwed by this last season. I could be wrong but you are going to have to pay his salary tomorrow so why not just wait one day before listing him.

if you put the player now, you have to pay for him for the next econimic update - on monday. When the player left your team, at this moment, the you don“t have to pay him anymore.

I don't remember the case but I imagine it was someone who listed his player and had to bid on him to buy him back; once that transfer closes even though he technically never left the team it would still leave him ineligible for the remainder of the postseason.

Yes. Actually, you can even have a player sold before the game begins as long as it's after the lineups are locked in, which is 15 minutes before the game. So if your player sells at 7:50 and your game starts at 8:00, the player will actually still play.

Assuming, of course, the game calculates on time - if there's a delay and it starts after the transfer is processed, that would be most unfortunate. Usually that's not a problem but generally game 3 of a finals series is not the time to be open to risk.
